Funny you mention that. There's discussion among staff about things to do to celebrate Cantr's 10-year anniversary, and a miracle raffle is one of the suggestions (with very strict rules, of course).

*gasps* That could be SOO awesome and make for some interesting RP. Although, could also be very tricky to put into play.
Problem is, choosing just one and the fact that many of those are on the acct that I couldn't get reactivated for some reason.

Would be awesome, I've one character that I would absolutely love to have back. There wouldn't be any choice for me, I'd get my favorite back.

Well, miracles wouldn't be limited to resurrection of characters. They could be anything (within the set-forth rules).

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Sadly, after looking through my dead char list, I can't think of any that would make an impact by being resurrected.
Maybe someone who witnessed it would start a religion or worship my char but even that's probably too much to hope for. lol

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
All my dead chars were experimental, and my first in the game, when I had no clue how to play and such. I don't miss them, and they did nothing but teach me ho to use the interface.
The last thing I need is one back, and could relly do with a few less, to be honest.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Until I know the set-forth rules (if this even happens), I wouldn't be able to decide what I'd want if I won.
If it's the resurrection of one of my own characters, then there's no doubt which one I would choose. You all know which one it is.
If it's the resurrection of another player's character (assuming said player actually agrees), I know who it'd be. I still have the body, in fact.
I can't really think of anything else right now.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
It would be better if resurrections were split into a new topic. I don't think I'd want to resurrect any of my characters, they're all dead for a reason and most of them had good deaths.

Only because my character's not strong enough to drag it out of the building it's in. Plus, she's somewhat delusional and thinks he's a god, and that maybe if she keeps his body it'll wake up again.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
If resurrection would be one of the miracle options, there would still be no way for the revived character to know all the people they knew, or vice versa. This is the main point why I am against this. But again, this is off topic.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
It depends on how long ago they died. After the hacking we stopped deleting naming information when someone dies, so if someone died relatively recently, the naming information would still be there. And if someone died several decades ago, a chance is most people who knew them would be dead. Then the few exceptions could be added manually.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
I envisioned someone wanting to bring back some character who ruled some town in the 800's. But yeah, if it's a recent death it would be possible... but also even more unlikely. (depending on how the char died etc)
