Bob - The village idiot. He was a good guy with a tiny brain. He always mixed up names and accidentally insulted them, but almost everyone forgave him (except Raaj, which was the only person that Bob disliked). He spent is final years in Mirovash (Microwash) with his good friends Gaston (Baton), Mike and Sylvest (Syvel). He always had a weak hart for Suzie (Blue), but she insisted on staying in San D'oria (Sundooria). Bob was fascinated by other people's stories and always wanted to hear them. He was kinda my favourite character to play with.
Emma Lawson - The lovely lady from Seatown Gardens. She was in love with the man who took her everywhere since the day she has spawned, Jack Wintersteen. She followed him and looked for him when he was gone and he traveled along with her when she wanted to go somewhere.
Benjamin Davies - The guy from Guildport that lived in Kirinn. Had some good ideas for the future and wanted to change the community. He was part of a group of travelers along with his close friends Griffin, Glenda and Princess Avi. He was easygoing unless someone spoke about religion or the afterlife, which made him annoyed and rude.
William Fitzherbert - I was still looking for a purpose for this guy. He spawned in Shortinazy, traveled to Klojt, Seatown and Dragonloft but he never found a place to call home.
Acton Avery - The guy who spawned on a remote island far far away. With the help of Rosalyn and Halbarad he moved to Akypor. He briefly lived in the forest with Sweetberry Eclair, listening to gossip on the radio but finaly moved to Akypor and became a full citizen. Along with Mindy he was part of the City Services and was always helping her with chores for the city. He felt at home in Akypor, especially because it had the most devoted and enthousiastic leader he had ever seen, Cora Stoli.
If you knew any of those chars and want to tell me the aftermath of their deaths, please PM me

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I'm hoping someone has found her by now, but Mariah of Midgar joined her love Daryl and her daughter Cee in the afterlife. Falling into despair and depression became too much for her. She fought to stay awake but eventually her heart gave up and she quit fighting. Her only hope in her final moments was that her brother Kosmo and Tori forgive her for giving up.
Oh look, another glorious morning… makes me SICK!

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I forgot to mention that I killed off my oldest Finnish character about a week ago. Ninni Ruusupelto was the second ever Finnish character to spawn in Cantr. She was 188 and would've turned 189 if she had managed to live two days longer, but she figured it was a good day to die. She was a map maker and some of the location names she invented were included in a Polish map, so her legacy lives on. On her last trip she met some foreigners and tried to teach them Finnish, or as she called it, "humans' language". One of the Finnish words for a wooden spoon is the same as cabbage in Polish, so hilarity ensued. Also they thought that she was calling someone a hyena, because the Finnish word for fine/nice/awesome is "hieno". I had a lot of fun interacting with Polish people.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
So, my first character death.......
I doubt anyone will remember her, but her name was Runa Siv...she spawned in Midgar.... she was killed by animals at the age of 28
She was a restless soul and began traveling very soon after spawning, she made it almost half-way across Fu on foot, her only goal was to build fire pits to try and make things easier for those that might come into the heart of the island, as far as she knew she was in uncharted land. She tried to make her mark in her own humble way..... so if you come across a firepit in the middle of nowhere on fu......raise a glass to the builder.
And to those few who she stumbled across who were kind enough to help her on her way, she was greatful even though most of you she couldn't understand a word you said.

I quit a while back. I'm sorry to everyone my characters promised they would not leave. It was quite a sudden decision brought upon by purely OOC circumstances. Many of them had already had their lives severely disrupted recently, again due to purely OOC circumstances.
In no particular order, RIP to:
Kyriel (obviously)
Josephine Sunborn
Calliope
Casey Brewer
Tristan Colby
Fiona Tiernan
Jill the Bunny
Susan of Rose Hill
John Stone
Vanessa Lawson
Bridget the Bitch
Okashima Yumi
Sirius Blackrock
Daisy Crow
Matilda Hawke

I knew a bunch of yours, and enjoyed Rp with one or two, but this was one that made me sad. I think it was one of those things where that character likely didn't know the respect mine had for him, and how much he defended him anytime anyone mentioned anything about him (like quietness). I wish I'd been able to help make his life interesting for the short time it was in my power to, but I fall short there.
I'm sorry to hear you've quit.

Oh whaaaaaaa
I wish I got to RP with John Stone more before you quit. I am kicking myself at the missed opportunity. Josephine was a joy to play with. And Daisy Crow - if that's the one aboard the Galleon, what a wonderful, light, friendly, peaceful, beautiful addition to the world she was. (well, all three of yours I've experienced have been like that!).
I have been wondering who played Josephine and John for a while (it became quite clear they were the same player when they both dropped dead at the same time...). I was actually totally convinced it was another player.
Anyway, so sorry to see you go, hope OOC circumstances improve and one day you grace Cantr with your wonderful characters!

Oh, and to add to my own list: RIP to my recent two deaths.
Froederick - who never met a SINGLE DAMN PERSON IN HIS ENTIRE SHORT LIFE WANDERING FU! *ahem, sorry*
Ziemniak - also on fu, having escaped the Polish Loepards and was attempting to circumnavigate the coastline to Port Gallegher[sic] He missed the folks in.. was it Mudrosa? Mysterious Beach, wherever that was, since he was terrible with names and Called places his own, not "the mapped names" , but took a wrong turn and got lost in the mountains. Dang animals.

Shame the comments made here don't match what was said in public IRC but then again no surprise there.
Kyriel, I knew a few of yours. John pissed me off the most !
Nate, I wondered what happened to Ziemniak, I saw him once and had no idea what towns he was talking about

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I have been hesitant to post, because I don't want to spoil peoples' opportunity to discover things through their characters' knowledge rather than their own knowledge. So, I'll be cryptic in the hopes that only those who saw it with their own chars will realize what I refer to.
My chars who died in the past, or who only one living character would know by name (and that one living character already knows through their in-game experience):
-Nicholas Kringle
-Mirth Noel
-Rune Tadmallow
-Amy Featherfoot
-Henry Meadows
-Hannah Stonetree
-Arni Cabot
Cryptic ones in age order:
-Preparing and expedition to Fu. "It's not home anymore". and "You never know what will come out of a spinach patch."
-Navy blue suit pants, cream colored silk shirt, navy vest and bowtie. "It looks very pretty from up here." Feathers on the wind.
-Going West
-"I'm a horrible cook, but it sure is fun to just mix up ingredients to see what can be made."
-"Weflective suwface of the sea, won't you tell the twuth to me. Who's young and fwesh as fwesh can be?...."

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Sorry to see you go, MonkeyPants. I loved Rune Tadmallow and I suspect I know and will miss a few of you cryptic ones, too. You were so active and had such unique characters, Cantr won't be the same when you're gone.
I let go of more than half of my characters this month. I had fallen into the trap of creating more and more characters because I kept spawning in sleepy or boring towns where nothing happened. Once some of those characters became mobile, things improved. But I learned that having too many characters was a liability. So I had to let some go. It was purely OOC reasons and I didn't plan out any of their deaths. Most went off alone to die but a couple were near people. Sorry to those around me, but I just couldn't come up with a good death story. Here's the ones I let go.
Conrad Cole
Fox Truelove
Fondue Fontana
Grunt
Cyrus Slaughter
Cervantes Bronte
Some other characters I played but killed in the past.
Ant
Tyrus
Artemis Rex
Pan
I still have a handful of characters which I still actively play. They don't always light up every day, but that's ok. No more creating characters out if boredom for me.

You were my #1 favorite player, MonkeyPants. Now that you're gone, I won't feel as guilty when I finally quit.
