I've come across a motorcycle engine full of carrots.

When your character really connects with other characters beyond the typical "win, build or smash something" arena.

....I've built things with other chars but don't think winning or smashing is typical at all? Are you sure you have the right forum here? :?

Also the guy with carrots in his tank was obviously just confused about how biofuel worked.

Remember, different players = different games.

(Yes, this would thrill and amuse me, if people didn't keep taking offence to it turning out to be true. Not that anyone is taking any offence right now.)

Sure, I'll concede that your characters might not play in the same arena mine do and therefore wouldn't have the same definition of typical.

Edited to add after seeing Computaertist's post:
Or, what Computaertist said. Much more to the point.

Earl and Abi stored croissants in their fuel tank once when they ran out of petrol. And it makes my day thinking about it now as it did then.

I think someone ate that croissant eventually. It was thrown outside in a town, San D maybe, and then stored in the food barrel iirc.

The Cantr community in general is the finest collection I've met so far of... Trolls, Emos, Cry babies, nut cases, odd balls, and all out creative writers.Sometimes just reading some of the things written here and in game takes me a while because I can't stop laughing.

We all have one kind of mental condition or another, and personality types susceptible to addiction, or we'd be doing something more productive with our lives. Like taking heroin.

I've got a character in a foreign language town atm, and even though I suppose I'm allowed to use google translate after a period of time spent RPing learning the language, I haven't. Instead, I've only been having the character "learn" the language when I myself pick up what words mean. Cognates were being thrown around a few days ago, and it was so refreshing to have an idea of what was going on, and I've been piecing together words here and there since. It's fun, and different to my usual play style on Cantr.

I was re-reading all my posts in the original horseback riding thread in RD, and I was so negative and suspicious of them. They were vehicles... that needed fuel even when unused? Whaaaaat? Even when Greek said they were intended for primitive areas I remained unconvinced.

Now I have seven characters all with mounts and I just love it. It's nice to explore areas inland on islands faraway, and then go back on the ship to the next island. Even in civilised areas they're nice because of their speed. They're also great ways to escape towns that don't offer much of a future.
