Not really, I suppose...
If there is no Cantr to discuss, a Cantr Discussion Forum has little value besides to discuss the lack of Cantr thereof.

No excuse. There was a trial period of two weeks, only 16 people got to continue. 5 people got the boot. One didn't know much English, one was skipping class all the time, one apparently had something wrong with her knee and may have been over-qualified as well, and the fourth one, I don't know, seemed like the first person I'd pick to stay since he had work experience and seemed like a stable person. I guess they were looking for a group where people are about on the same level with each other.

Well, it's a lot easier to keep people posted now ... and it allows staff to get access to staff forums again, which is handy ... So we can all get ready for when Cantr is back up and running
Things are looking good. I also cancelled a weekend away, so it really should not take that long before Cantr is back up. As you can see by going to http://www.cantr.net, the webserver is already running again, just pointing you over here

I hope Cantr will be down for a little longer, bit selfish perhaps. But at least then my life and mood as it is and has been the last few weeks won't affect my characters.
I hate everything, bah.

You know, the Cantr Fail couldn't have come at a better time. Even if it was up, with what's been going on, I doubt I'd have time to play it.
I haven't had time for anything besides pretty much being a full time nurse *sigh*.
I get a break today...no chemo or radiation so a day to myself, though I have to go check on him later and help hook up his feeding tube. And now my sister whose dog I've been letting out when she is at work, has told me I cant just let him out on the porch today, that I need to take him for a walk. Whatfukingever.
Btw, I miss you all

Okay, I have a few things to say. First off, I'm so happy to be back! I like FTO, but the birth queue was getting repetitive, and the forums were getting boring. Thank god this forum is back. Also, I just talked to my girlfriend in America and we're gonna meet in a few weeks back home. It's gonna be good. On a less light note, I was thinking about madness the other day, and realized that we are all on a long, greased, rope above the abyss of madness, and every time we take a step away from what's happening around us, we slip a little farther. I often think I'm going insane, as I sink into deep depression every few weeks. Not deep enough to kill myself, thank god.

What was the actual purpose of that being done? Or was there no reason...
Edit: well, what I'm really asking is, what is the ostensible purpose of it?

Very true. We lose daylight savings at the end of this month.
Which means instead of walking my dog in pitch black in the morning and feeding up & exercising my horse as the sun sets, I'll be walking my dog in pitch black and feeding up & exercising my horse in pitch black.. and traveling home from work as the sun sets.
sigh.
