Man, I hate this game so much...

EDIT: Is there a reason for the limit at 65535? Any chance of getting it raised?

Yes several, Firstly notes take up a large proportion of database space and they have to be limited in someway. Secondly this limit is also determined by limits built into browsers of which we have no control over.
Some browsers will cap the uploaded data at c.32000 characters

It will not be changed

Ssssh. Next, you'll be suggesting that notes can be destroyed.

We just don't want some player creating a 0.5MB sized editable note and making 99 copies of them, which would give us 50MB of data in database.

Let me point out the whole in that argument... I have a document that doesn't fit in a note. So, I just make 2 notes... Exactly the same number of characters, but I have to split them over 2 notes... so the character limit actually creates as many problems as it solves.

Unfortunately, I suspected as much. Much as it pains me... I'll have to just accept it... *sighs*

Yes, but if you have 0.5MB document, you'll need 10 notes. And to make 99 copies of that 0.5MB you'll have to make 990 copies.

So current situation prevents our database from such sabotages.

And not always players just makes 2 or more notes. I encourtered this limit 2 weeks ago, and what I did was reducing note size by removing unnecessary whitespaces, unnecessary HTML code and introducing CSS.

I'd always assumed that copies of note were simply links to the same data...copies are seperate entities  is'nt that increadibly wasteful? I obviously have no idea how this game is put together.
Yuk yuk yuk.

If that were the case, an edit to the original note or a copied note would affect all of those notes wherever they are
