I was just thinking about making a thread for an idea, but this one's similar enough that I'll just ressurect it.

My suggestion, however, would be to make the cart a tool. It's not a vehicle, after all - you're either pushing or pulling it, not riding in it. Maybe a tiny bit of iron for the wheels and nails or whatever, but the primary material should be wood. When held it would either double (or triple, or whatever) a person's carrying capacity, and when not in use it could just be left inside a storage building somewhere. Yes, as an object it can't be locked, and it's possible for it to be stolen if left outside or in an open building, but how far is a thief going to get at slightly slower than the average walking pace?

Implimenting a cart as a vehicle is relatively easy , it just needs RD to specify the details, all the code exists to load it up and travel with it .
It's basically a land vehicle limited to 1 person with a particular capacity and a speed setting slower than normal walking pace

Making an object which has special effects such as changing a persons carrying capacity and also slowing down their walking speed takes a lot of coding in all sorts of places, as well as RD specification input ... Thats not to say it can't be done this way , It's just a lot more work for something which has very similar in game effects .

It's cool if it's a vehicle. Those still come with free locks, right? Maybe that could be skipped in this case, as the raft doesn't or didn't come with a lock for a while. Fully loaded person, plus not a whole lot extra, that sounds great.

Who's on RD for us to pester?
Reality was never my strong point.

I'd prefer an object just for realism and the fact that it can be crammed ina workshop or storage building, but if a vehicle has a better chance of actually being made then that'd be great too. Go for it.

Well, the vehicle requires zero new code. The tool would need a bit of work. I agree that if they could be implemented, the "movable storage" and "capacity-boosting tool" concepts would be more realistic and probably neater.
