Maybe someone should suggest a formal way of proving you completed an abandoned object? Maybe put something on suggestions forum?

I can't think of any way of making that work without adding huge amounts of clutter to the events listings, which nobody wants. Not being able to prove completion of a project is just how things work, and it's not that hard for characters or governments to work around it.

Yeah, pretty much I treat the situation by grabbing whatever I dug up, and doing something like....

999-9 You say: "Ah! One more potato patch uncluttered and ready for the next farmer."

or

999-9 You say: "*Finishes piecing together the old hammer that had been laying abandoned for several days*"

Though I would rarely post such a long winded emote. *cough* :D If somebody is going to raise a stink about it, they will, if they are worried abut people grabbing more than they actually dug up then they w=should be watching the gournd more closely anyway.

I spent an hour or two customizing the events that happened in Seatown in all of Bobby's stories. It isn't easy to reverse the order of everything, delete all the timestamps and change you to I and so forth. I wish more people would take that approach.

I saw some very lazy RP where I was recently, basically someone directly copied a bit of text to prove that their partner said something...included the date and the "[name] says to you:" bit...had to have my char comment on how bizarre it was.
