 We need to be logical about this, if they give in and make all Items that could be used to hurt something usable as a weapon, then eventually we'll have people cobbing potatoes and onions at each other - and strange messages like "You see <char name> run over and kill a buffalo using a small sportscar"

I think I've heard it disucssed on the forums where vehicles being weapons, and it's been discarded to the best of my knowledge. I said more tools I believe, such as the sledgehammer and such. But this should definetly not be a priority in my opinion. I noticed the broad sword and sabre were changed in production and effectiveness as of late. Also the Crossbow seems to be missing in disgusting levels.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that it's few more damage made some department decide that the crossbow should be 'balanced' by increased inaccuracy. From what I've seen I wouldn't reccomend it against anyone without an iron shield. Ever with an iron shield, I don't know...
The more than double cost doesn't seem to count for anything.

And it doesn't take coding to make tools double as weapons. So the only reason not to do it is the question of realism, fairness, and sanity...

Vehicles are another issue. And even if it could be done, they would be too strong. Which is one reason the idea was discarded.

Yeah damnit, 3/7 chars carry crossbows, 1 carries a sabre. The crossbow is rather a shitty rip off. Things like these...are just...gah...make we want to suffocate a certain department...right...now...*strangles the Resources Department*. I feel somewhat better now. Its such a goddamn rip off, I demand a petition to change it. The ones paying shit for weapons should get shit in return. :x Aggitates me greatly.

I WANT CHANGE! *clears throat* NOW!

Now that makes me think of the Bone Spear. Requires a fairly hard to get and valuable resource not required for the Hunting Bow, but unless I am seriously mistaken does less damage. Is it too much to ask that you get extra damage for extra cost?

(I exclude the slingshot from this, since it was obviously never intended to be mistaken for a serious weapon)

It does about the same...the only material it needs more is bone, and there's no shortage of that.

Look, if you bastards are so damn overworked, I'll make a table of what i think each weapon should do, with the missing ratio.
