Damn I have to answer this.. People of Krif sure would try to save my charrie from slavery and she would be in quite a bad situation, since she's quite loyal to her Lady.. or brainwashed? Sorry, objective thinking is impossible for me.

Yep, lucky Jessamin spared her.
Her travel partners should have been more aware of the laws.

Yeah I also think it was silly we didn't read the laws.. though in Doves case she was dragged in when I was offline, that probably saved her from doing something stupid. It might be interesting if this caused a war + I love rp:ng slaves.. too bad everyone's so nice to her.

I have two characters with very different opinions about the Mac Gregors....both may eventually influence the Krif Council.

hmmm.... I am feeling some anger, and tension here. Breath in through the nose, and out through the mouth...

again.

in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

FEEL the anger and repressed envy flow out of you like water into the ground at your feet. FEEL the love for this band of good, strong charactures blossom into the beautiful flower it wishes to be.

Mac Gregors will fall at the hand of some warriors with big balls and small brains. Watch your backs! Hehe, hahaha, hahaha, hahaha!

If this new band of invading morons is as impressive as the last one, the Mac Gregors will have too sharpen some new stakes to put the invaders' heads on.

In fact, most (smart) people who enjoyed Mac Gregor hospitality don't complain about the so-called arrogance. I'm tempted to say that this perception of arrogance is caused by the arrogance or stupidity (or both) of the poor souls who ran into our blades.

Even sworn enemies have seen the light and have been given a chance to redeem themselves.

Somehow however, I believe most hatred against the Mac Gregors is more on a OOC basis than on an IC basis. Similar as the views some people have about Lad simmer into their chars ....who never heard of lad.

I know, everyone despises Lad on an OOC basis when they're really the good guys, bringing civilization and culture to the surrounding peoples.
And if the Stone Knights ever went to war with anyone, they would have such forces, nothing could stop them.

Yeah, just like the Nazis who were really good people who just wanted to spread their civilization and culture to their lesser neighbours...

Well, my character doesn't like the MacGregors because Gregor made such an ass of himself when he came to visit in Krif. Then there are stories like this one... killing my recruits off. So I assure you it's IC purely. There are I'm sure redeeming qualities of the MacGregor clan, but she's never seen them.

Mmm...I've been hearing OOC so much about these MacGregors, but until now have never had a character near their area, and was kinda dissappointed.

Now finally, I have somebody in Krif. May he live in interesting times, eh?

If Lad landed on the K island, why does everyone assume there would be a war? I don't think the K islanders are that bloodthirsty, and the Lad troops would have to be real idiots to launch a war with such limited resources. I would say they would be more likely to die if they landed in an outlying, undeveloped region and thought they had massive technological superiority.

Of course, that assumes it doesn't go:
"Lad Empire? That sounds evil and dangerous. Lets kill them all."
"Sounds good."
(huge, but likely, CR breach)

I will soon be forming my first IC impression of the MacGregors. From what I have heard, it likely won't be good, but we will see...
Soon is 1-2 Cantr years, though...
