Back in the days the built wooden shovels.
The only reason for iron shovels is that they are more durable.
So until deterioration is implemented perhaps the more primitive tools (and here I would of course like to see a wooden shovel) could work as good as the iron ones, but some projects (preferably the more advanced ones) would only work with the iron tools?
Like, a bone needle would do the trick for more crude materials, but for silk cloth and other finer clothing such a blunt needle would not be sufficient.
Just an idea...

so screw them. they should be thankful they can use lower quality tools at all.
anyway, i think varying tool quality is very important...
...almost as important as *drum roll* ITEM DETERIORATION (i haven't yelled about that enough lately)

Hmmm. What's wrong with having to have reached a certain level of "development" before settling in places without food? I like it this way.

coming back to topic,
why is it possible to use the oven, and make for example some tea or pizza with the amount of grams made remaining zero.
in this way you use the oven, but cant use any recources on it.
And if you press the first button for making bread, it is automatically added to the activities list, although you can go back (by your browser for example).

I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying.
Do you mean:
When you use the Oven, you can set the end result for a project as 0 grams, which then means the project will require 0 grams of anything, so nothing can be added (Obviously)?
And if you press the button to see what resources you'll need to make the project, it'll automatically add a project to the activities page, even if you never go through with the project?
If I interpreted those both right, then can't your just cancel the projects after you create them...?
