That said, my idea was to try to give places ideas and options, trying to make it more open for better roleplay in the process. I'd like to see badges implemented, as it would add a little more detail for the towns that actually have armies.

I'm very aware of the American Military medals, silly, look at my location.

The freedom to be completely insane, also to lose the game.

Also imagine what it could to for the *gasp* evil characters *cough*barons*cough*...anyway.. What im saying is like this, if anyone here as ever played a hitman game, then they know that you can steal an outfit, so if you want to say, assassinate a king you don't like, maybe the steward or someone has a set of cothes and a named badge specific to them, thus allowing you to sneak in, then maybe you could lock the king in a room and leave him to starve...evil thoughts...IMO it would be pretty nifty to have the mfor jobs too

I don't think a realistic method has been put forth...
How about First creating a nameless "Medals Mould" from iron and some smithing tools.
Then use the mould in a smelter related project with any metal. (this is when you name the Medal)
Requires a Hammer and Pincers.
Creates Medal with chosen name.
Might be a good start?

I think creating and implementing specific badges and medals limits the possibilities too much and would take longer than implementing one or two Medal and/or Badge reusable moulds (maybe the two combined in one mould) and two new projects. (one to create the mould and another to create the Badge/Medal)

Forgive me, but I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.
Its not.
Just imagine coming in a new town, 6 people there, one weres a nametag: "Elrond, Governor of Querville". Well simplifies stuff quite a bit.
Addition: You could make a complicated embossing machine to make steel badges that are laborous to fake, but I attest this the same future as coins, simple tags to wear upon your t-shirts (or whatever) are good enough a solution.

Alright. But you'd have to think on the other hand. If they are too simple to make they'll have next to no sentimental or material value. I'm not speaking monetary value. I mean what's the point of "You showed courage above and beyond the call of duty, have a sticker"?
As for coins, just because they aren't used everywhere, doesn't mean they aren't being successfully used somewhere, because they are...
Also this named "Medal/Badge" Would need another addition projects for a ribbon to go around the neck or pin. Both can be worn like clothing... if only we can wear multiple necklaces...

Well it could be good... Some hide, a needle and sinew, and then sew on a little tag to appropriate clothing... Might be good for employees... and! and one could identify a body if you looked at the clothes worn: In the charcter view for a live person wearing the jacket say, it would say blah blah blah... it has a nametag on it saying "Manny". But the dead one, or clothes in the inventory, would say like a key label in your inv now. leather jacket "manny".
As for medals, just use a coin press, then put on what you want, and add an extra project to the coin press list or something, saying "producing medal (silver)" or something. Add to that some cotton cloth, a little iron perhaps, and a dynamic name (i know coin presses are named permenantly, but this doesn't need to be so, it should be possible to change the set of a coin press.)

Edit:On Second thought, this is a pretty good idea, Crosshair.
Just have a project where you can add coins or "medals" to both, a Pin-able and neck, medal ribbon. Would be even better if they were reclaimable. As for being able to change the names on coinpresses, could a project requiring a chisel and soldering iron to do just that be created?
