Lol, I've donne that too. Rping with my char when no one is around. It does feel great, actually writing and doing it when no one was around to see it.

One of my characters just started "talking" to his departed wife during his visits to her tomb. It does feel very poignant...like a dramatic aside. He pulls on my heartstrings...he misses her so.

It likely does. At least in my case, I'm more active when something very important is happening, such as something life threatening, or exciting in some way, or if being active is very important.

....seeing familiar vehicles or things left behind by your old chars.
Last time I played, my char stole a vehicle and I've since seen it by 3 of my new chars in 3 different towns. One of them actually witnessed it being stolen. Makes me laugh to know people keep stealing it and leaving it elsewhere.
