Looks as if a few people got my reference...

Yes, Quick Draw McGraw's zorro-like alter ego was El Kabong who's weapon of choice was Bonking people on the head with his guitar. And lets not forget his trusty sidekick, Baba Looie who was some sort of mule, donkey, or burrow.

...And to read about How the FLCL relates to this topic, read:

This shouldnt be too hard to implement if it were to be in MIDI format.
Perhaps upon acquiring different instruments, you could play different instruments on the MIDI applet?

how to make said instruments

Postby Psycho Pixie » Thu Mar 04, 2004 8:20 pm

Small drum:
Description~ a small round wooden drum that rests between the players legs while in a sitting position.

resources~ 500g wood 400g hide

tools~ needle (to stich hide over wood and hold in place)

time it takes~ 2 days

Large drum:
Description~a tall (waist high) standing drum made of wood the player stands behind or beside it to play.

Resources~ 1000g wood, 500g hide and 200g of some form of metal (silver, gold, platinum, iron or steel) for the supporting of the structure.

Tools and why~ chisel, to form the wood; hammer, to pound the metal strips flat around the wodden base; needle to stich hide into place..

Time it takes~ 5 days

Reed flute:
Description~ A small single red tube with small holes for fingerings drilled into it.

Resources~ 50g reed

Tools~ bone knife, for whittling the holes and the mouthpiece.

time~ 1 day

Bone flute:
Description~ much like the reed flute, but out of bone, for those areas without reeds....

Resources~ 50g small bones

Tools~ bone knife, for whittling the holes and mouthpiece.

Time~ 1 day

Reed pipes: (bone pipes are the same, but obviously different...lol)
Description~ a grouping of reed flutes strapped together, more elaborate, much like the "pan pipes" varying in length and thickness for different tone variation.

Resources~ 400g reed, 10g hide or leather (for strips to tie together)

Tools~ bone knife, for reasons stated, and for cutting the hide/leather strips

Time~ 2 days

Guitar: (or lute, gittern?)
A long wood instrument with 6 strings and an "arm" for the fingerings, hollow wood base, with a circular hole for resonation of sound.

Resources~ 800g wood, what for strings??? we have no gut and sinew from animals, thats what it was made out of before metal....

Tools~ Bone knife for whittling and cutting strings to length, hammer for working pieces together, Chisel for shaping wood.

Time~5 days or more?

since this is a primitive game (cars aside, i still dont get THAT little anomaly) it makes since to stick with primitive instruments... so NO Electric guitars and nothing more advanced then a violin maybe?

Psycho Pixies alter personality that actually makes sense.
