So... I finally came back to the green. It's been a while, but hopefully some of these new chars might be as addicting as some of my first.

Thanks.
It's nice to see you two are still around.

Hello to you all!
My name is Dennis, male, 36, from the Netherlands and currently unemployed.
I started playing last year, but in the spring I closed my account. But I started again!

Welcome. Hopefully you'll end up playing in the Dutch region as well. It's looking pretty bleak for our language group. The few Dutch players left seem to have lost all ambition.

Hello!
My name is Iain and I used to play a few years ago. I eventually got bored because the game was too slow-going, so I decided to play MUDs instead (MUD = Multi User Dungeons) And seriously, MUDs are addictive. There's no waiting times, most actions are instant, so basically the longer you play, the better you become. If you're interested, I would suggest the mud "Avalon RPG". Anyway I won't go too off-topic here.
So, greetings all.
P.S It has always been a dream of mine to build a kingdom in Cantr. Always loved authority and politics. Might even want to try conquering others as well. I've always enjoyed the combat/conquer aspects of games. It would be nice if Cantr could improve theirs, but anyway....

Welcome back Lapallanch!
I used to play MUDs but had to stop because everything was instantaneous, and you were only able to progress while you were logged in. It's pretty much an apples an oranges things, but the slow pace of a tick-based game is considered a positive by many players as well.
Haven't logged into a MUD in awhile but I do play a lot of interactive fiction now, it uses the parser and rooms, objects, and all that in similar ways.

@Wolfsong Then why not go back to playing MUDs as well? I can manage with Cantr II and Avalon on at the same time (partially because I only play one character, hahah).
@Marian Well, for teens like me who have hours and hours in front of the screen each day, MUDs seem to be the best choice for me. So...have a good day.

Welcome all new/old players. I have been in MUD fairly long time ago, but I was always trying to rp and others were after the duties. I still miss some rare fun times I had.

Hi *he waves* I'm a fairly new player. I have about a dozen characters now in their mid-twenties. Some doing some fairly exciting things. Others, not-so-much. I've been periodically lurking on the forum so I figured it was time to introduce myself.
