Well... given the way the skill system works... if we eliminated all awkward people on sight, it would improve the overall next generation of newspawns... Although it would be a scary form of cantr cleansing. We would become "skill-ists." :?

Hmmmm.... you know, this isn't that bad of an idea!

Since the introduction of the new hunting menu, One of mine increased his hunting skill halfway though the list of animals I was hunting. 8)

On another note, has anyone noticed variations in the same skill, i.e. one of my characters is expert in repairing tools, but only effcient in repairing weapons, is this the same variation between hunting animals and fighting?

All 4 of those are unique skills and will vary, this is the same with all the skills. These are listed in the wiki here

http://www.cantr.net/mwiki/index.php/Skills

In the case of repairing , the governing skill is the manufacturing skill for that type of object (tools or weapons which includes shields)

So manufacturing and repairing weapons is the same skill? In that case, couldn't it be named Weapons and the other one Tools, and beneath it they would say manufacturing and repairing. Since I went there and I was like what, where are the repair things? Had to check a few times before realizing what had been said.

Yes they are the same skill. As is the seperate skill of Manufacturing and repairing tools.

If repairing of vehicles or machines is implemented then they will use the manufacturing skill for the repair component as well

The names used for the skills are only used internally in the programs they aren't currently displayed to the characters so you are welcome to change them in the Wiki if that makes it clearer.

I thought repairing skills had been missed the first time I saw the Wiki list as well

Ah, right... never really read all the skills properly, never noticed that reparing wasn't a skill on it's own. And Seko, it does say 'Used when manufacturing tools/weapons or repairing them' under the relevant heading.

It does now. But I don't think there was such thing before Chris(?) lately added it. In some point I added Repairing tools and Repairing weapons as separate points in that list, unaware of the fact that they go together with the manufacturing skills. But apparently that has been removed.

Yup, it does now as of the 3rd September, added by Jos when he removed your additions, my humblest apologies.
