You know you are addicted when you you take a by-the-minute exact transcript of everything within the same room as you, including the amount of food you ate, and the facial expressions of your friend.

How about that during a prostate exam?
Then you really are addicted.

I am only 30 so I have not had that done yet.
Could you see a Cantr player writing everything down during a prostate exam? That would be hilarious.

You know you're addicted to Cantr when...

you see a crowbar and think how you could break locks with it.

You hear people talking about digging iron as a natural resource and think, what? Digging iron? You can't do that anymore, you have to get hematite, crush it, and then smelt it with coal and limestone (or propane or whatnot)

You are shocked to find that most everyone has no idea what hematite is.

no i've seen hematite rings too. they're like a dull, shiny metallic stone thingy. really brittle though, so you'd definately need to refine it somehow...

Hm....
You know you're addicted to Cantr when...

... You start to plot how to rob people of their hematite rings and necklaces and stuff so you can make iron and steel

... You tear up the pavement in the street or on the sidewalk, because you need to dig for coal so you can melt the iron ore

... You ask people who you don't even know about the nearest places that have gas, limestone, hematite, wood, coal or other resources you need

... You read a roadmap and throw it away, considering it useless because it doesn't list the resources found in the listed towns

... You have a bunch of animal carecasses in your backyard because you only needed the meat, sinew, hide/fur/feathers, dung/eggs... and you have no use for the bones

... You have a poster at every petstore and zoo with a warning that they have to call the cops as soon as they see you, because you keep jabbing the turtles/tortoises there with a bone spear, trying to get enough of their shell to make a shield

... You try and avoid detection in the zoo/petstore by changing your clothes and loudly proclaiming that you're someone with a different name from another town who has never been there before... and then get all freaked out because it worked in Cantr so it should work there too but you still get recognized... so you make a run for it, trying to evade capture by repeatedly turning around and stopping on the road... only to get more freaked out because it would work in Cantr, but as soon as you stop on that road out there, you get caught... so you start yelling about CRB's and cheating... and later on you yell at people to get out of your house when they enter the padded room, then you find out that the door is locked and you don't have a key, so9 you start to slide note upon note under the door... even if you don't have any paper or writing utensils

... You sign up with the army, just to get an iron shield and a cool weapon

Very nice Wolf.

And I have seen hematite rocks.

You know you're addicted to Cantr if you get really excited about seeing a hematite rock at a trinket store and want to buy it because it reminds you of Cantr.

heh thanks.
I've seen hematite rocks too, long ago, when I collected rocks and minerals.
There's this little store here in town where they sell jewellery and statues made of rocks, gemstones and minerals, and chunks of raw minerals as well.
Maybe I'll go and have a look there next week, to see if I can pick up some hematite rock... I still make jewellery out of rock and stuff.
