I mention no names as I've roleplayed with lots of characters for sustained periods and probably just interacted with an equal number of players. Only on a very few occasions have I felt annoyed at a player for doing something stupid that broke the atmospher of having this character live a life.
As such I commend everyone I happen to of interacted with, well done.

I'm starting to have grave misgivings about this thread. Is it not merely acting as an invitation to certain players to send their charries to the largest possible towns and there make the greatest possible noise?
I know that wasn't Pirog's idea when he started the thread, and it wasn't how it worked at first, but it seems to be an effect of the more recently introduced hyper-competitiveness.
Either way, I consider it a very sad week for Cantr when the only really active threads are this one and the "forum denizen" thread.
Do I have a player to mention? Yes, to the player of Gabby Mae, who put quite some effort into her charrie's dealing with a taciturn deputy knowing of her secret past, even though poor Gabby has only ever had an audience of two or so in her entire life. Well done. Will she ever win one of these silly "awards" here? No, and for that reason.
Makes you think...

When you're a roleplayer from the heart, it's not about counting points, it's about doing your best in bringing your characters alive, even if you can't know wether others are even reading. Since the process of writing helps me develop the personality of the character, I've stopped feeling bad when getting no response. So even if the person watching or listenening hasn't said a word, I don't take them as lesser beings, I just act the way it's natural for my character.

I gotta say, the game really changed for the better for me when one of my charries wandered into Zuzi. He had no idea what he was getting himself into, but I don't believe I've laughed as much IRL for one charrie ever.
Special thanks to the players of Edwin, Catherine, Olympia, and the Empress herself, Zmambee. (I think I spelled those right)

Was it for this my life I sought?
Maybe so, maybe not.
