My exboyfriend pissed me off today.
In the kind of way that makes me unsure of whether or not I'm mad at him or I'm mad at myself because of him.
Either way, it still hurts.
I'm trying not to go into shut-everybody-out mode, but it's hard.
My brain has only two filters: say next to nothing and be unclear and thus alienate people, or say waaaay too much and thus alienate people because they just don't care.
Lately it's been the second one.

Wolfsong, that is a swear, because like I wrote in the reasoning, everybody who sees that knows what it stands for. You're not supposed to repeat what has been edited once. Do something about it yourself. Surely you wouldn't want a time out over something that stupid?

So then shouldn't words like pissed, crap, etc., also be edited out? And heck, since everybody knows what that stands for as well?

Edit: Furthermore, if you're threatening to ban me from the forums for saying the equivalent of 'crap' - ...why not do the same for people who actually cursed here?

And here's another example, using the word I -didn't- say. Are you suggesting it's more acceptable to actually curse than pretend to curse?

And surely this is more offensive than what I wrote. But no one there was edited. Just me, for not cursing. Oh, look. And you're there, cursing, too.

So why is it only I can't swear, but everybody else can? Give me a legitimate reason, or I'm filing a complaint.

This is seriously the first time I've ever heard that swearing wasn't allowed on the forums. Especially self-censored swearing. That's just ridiculous, imo. They do it all the time in music and TV, and all the adults listening know what they meant, but it's still allowed on the radio.

Sorry, I'm solidly with Wolfsong on this one. If swearing and self-edited swearing isn't allowed, then state as much, but if we start enforcing arbitrary rules, then things devolve into fights and everyone gets resentful.

Just because someone reports something doesn't automatically put them in the right. Wolfsong's post was clearly tongue-in-cheek and not disrespecting anyone.

So let's follow this please.

It says that language should be appropriate and no offensive text is allowed, but it doesn't define what that is, so let's just the end this conversation and leave it at that unless you really want a new policy made.

Meanwhile. My cantr has been dull, boring and not all that fun for a while now. I've had more frustration than fun with it actually. And yes I've mentioned it to one or two. All of a sudden things blow up and you folks are making me work hard at it! Fun has returned but one crisis at a time!!! geez!!! LOL

Also these kids are inhuman, how can anyone watch the opening sequence of Up and not be literally in tears. I think possibly I should go find some holy water to throw on them just to be safe.
