Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Yesterday I saved someone’s life.
My co-worker called in the morning and said she was ill. She sounded dizzy and spoke like she had just woke up. She said she’d call me a little later but never did. I tried calling her a couple of times but she didn’t answer. I got worried. I found out the phone number to her daughter and made her go there. My friend had got a stroke. They called for an ambulance and when she got to the hospital she got a second stroke. In an hour she was under surgery and survived.
I tell this because I needed to talk about it. And I say to you, believe in yourself when you feel something is wrong and be stubborn.

Wow. You are awesome! Thank goodness for you and how lucky that woman is to have someone like you in her life.

Let me get this straight... I use the search box on Cantr wiki to look up the resources needed for a bed... Then google ads starts flashing ikea at me everywhere I go. I use the wiki to look for tools requirements, and google ads shoves a bunch of tool retailers in my face for a week. I look up the resources needed for a stationcar and suddenly the ads are waving ebay's selection of station wagons in my face.
I just started learning to ignore them, and did a quick checkup on the costs of an oil derrick, when google ads starts flashing repeatedly with opportunities to buy oil, lubricants and fuel, and career opportunities on oil rigs!
Someone PLEASE tell me I'm not alone with this...

Hedgedhost,
You can delete your google cookies, and it'll all go away...or at least take some time to reaccumulate. I get the same stuff as addicted.

Okay, so I've been dogsitting for the pastor of my church for the past week, and since I have no other mode of transportation, I ride my bike the five miles to his house every day. It isn't much of a distance at all, but it is when allergies kick in and I can barely breathe. ANYWAY, I finally got to the front door, and I was about to unlock the door to get in... when I realized that I left the damn keys at home >.< This actually happened twice now, but it was much more frustrating this time because I felt like complete crap (and still do). So blah. It sucks to suck.

I too get dating and gaming sites.
When I've been looking up pictures of certain cartoon characters or general pictures to use as reference for a drawing, I get more dating site ads.
When I've been playing DragCave, it's a whole bunch of dragon game ads.
I don't think I've been bombarded with the types Hedgehogst has though.
I would love to just kick Google Ads altogether.

Firefox or Chrome, whith Adblock Plus extension. I haven't seen an ad on internet for a long time.

Though I do believe that stops income for websites that use these ads...

I've never been IDed. That was great as a teenager, but when I saw the cashier select "clearly over 25" without asking for my ID when I was in my early 20s, that was less great. :pVega wrote:I went to buy some beers this afternoon and they asked me for the ID card... O_O

I got ID'ed only last week. I had a chuckle and took it as a compliment as I am 32.
