Stupid bus company. You entered into contract with us that you will be here at 5:15 this morning. It's 5:55, and you're not here. We call. What happened? A broken hose? And it's going to be another 40 minutes before you show up? And you're not going to say a word about it until we call about it ourselves? We don't believe you. You have like 50 busses in your line. You can't tell us that ALL FIFTY OF THEM are either being used or broken. And even if that is true, you call another bus company to send out another bus from a closer station. That's honest business. But no! You are going to make us late for this very important appointment that if we're late THERE'S NO GOING BACK OR RESCHEDULING. And all because you can't get your guys to come in early enough to meet your contract. You've been late every time we've used your services this season. This is the last time. After this, we are OVER. And we're not paying the bill. You broke your end of the contract. We are no longer bound to ours.

Eh, well then, I got nothin. I like to have my characters' experinces mold them into their personality. Maybe you could do something like that?

My rant of the day: Stupid kidney stones. This is my fourth one, and I'm in so much pain/on such powerful painkillers that my characters are suffering. Blah.

Ohh I feel for you Dingo.. I have had several, even had one get stuck and they had to blast it out. It is a nasty pain. Hope you feel better quickly.

@Doug Could one of those find a reason to a sudden... abrupt change that would make their circumstances change and therefore mold them towards a different direction?

I am going to kill three of my six, maybe four. I don't feel them at all.


In other order of things: Linguine with clams, a glass of Frascati, then an evening of cantr, a "G string less" guitar and tons of coke... Suddenly things seems brighter. I will work it all out soon!

I have a couple like that. However the suggestion to let their circumstances/experiences mold them is a good one, I think. It has worked for me in the past. And if it's taking to long for those experiences to come along.... let your character seek out the experiences. I would say that many of my characters start out rather shallow. I don't sit down and map out all aspects of their personalities, their strengths, weaknesses... and some I don't even create a character description for some time. I start out with a "sense" of them... and impression, maybe. And go from there.

I realize that none of this babbling is probably useful to you, but.... I'm bored because none of my charries are lit up
