I think the coolest thing about all the locations being on one map would be to discover one of the other language islands and have your character encounter natives that don't speak your language! I guess it wouldn't really lead to much roleplaying though, since they wouldn't be able to understand your actions either (so pantomime would be out of the question too.)

I guess you could come up with rudimentary words by pointing at things though.

It's happened already, between the Spanish and Germans I believe, if not more.

Someone has travelled from the Aki island to the K-isle.

Is that relevant to this conversation?

I don't think so, but it's interesting. I know the reverse is true, and that someone from Aki has travelled to another island nearby, that people from K-Isle have also travelled to, and so it's not a great stretch that someone from Aki could have made it to K-isle.

I love how things in that area are developing, as far as oceanic travel goes.

Agreed. Ocean travel is the new fad in that area. It might even replace political intrigue and lust for power... well, probably not, but it's still interesting.
