Bad RP/Strategy (split from RP Praise!)

Ok can we get back to the whole topic of bad rp / strategy. This thread is not here and intended to bash and insult players or characters personally and it has been gettng out of hand not only in this thread but others. Lets get back to the topics and please avoid taking jabs or pointing out where each character / player is "wrong". This is a general topic, not one to insult players.

There's a difference between bashing (what happened to freedom of speech anyway?) and stating the facts, but fine.

I don't like it when players don't RP killing people. There. Oh, and I don't exactly enjoy it when people don't spell at all, and don't seem to read what is going on, but I do not hate them for it.

You can discuss what you hated in a particular rp or whre you saw it as a bad strategy without making it an intentional ooc forum attack on someone else

It isn't? I thought this was the counterpart of "RP Praise", in fact it was split from it, and nobody complains when people compliment each other there, so why should it not be allowed here?

That's probably on the bottom of my list. (and and and it's "let's" (let us), hypocrite lol "lets" is like "he lets him eat the cookies") I know some characters that were beautifully roleplayed even though the capital letters were often missing, as well as a lot of punctuation.

I just hate it most how seven out of seven of my chars that got murdered by other chars were killed without RP. It really hurts to roleplay with murderers, and then get killed without RP. Bleh. I know I repeat too much. Just really angry at the player. So, just ignore me.

That bothers me the most as well, and I think a lot of people don't realize how annoying it is to only know someone's name from someone else's thoughts and actions, but that's not really very avoidable.

Yeah, half the fun of meeting new people is trying to learn their name. Most are very willing to give it out, others make you play a puzzle game. It does annoy when you see

John says, "*he turns to Jeff* Hey I need some help."

and you don't know who "Jeff" actually is BUT then

A man in his twenties says, "*smiles* No problem John."

You shouldn't know Jeff's name from that but you do now know his name. However I don't mind if John says, "*he turns to Jeff* Hey I need some help, Jeff." and then Jeff responds. Then I know the guys name cause the other character ACTUALLY said it. (Guilty of this myself)

One thing I'm not 100% about is *he/she thinks*. Can you see someone thinking?

Posting your character's thoughts is frustrating to the people around you, because, technically, they're not supposed to act as if they know those thoughts.

That's no really that true. There is that section where you can type details. Such as. My slave character never knew her master's name was Nate until a few days ago. So like for the past 15 or so years he has been labeled as "Master" because thats what she knows him as. But "Nate" is in the description of the character.

It may be okay to color the environment a bit as long as you're not creating objects that would make a difference, but people should never rp the response of another character, or human reaction from unspecified people because Cantr towns honestly only have the people that appear on the People list, not a mass of anonymous town people filling up the space.
