Postby joshua johnson » Wed Jul 13, 2005 8:11 pm

How does one know if they should build Car Engine A or Car Engine B?

Well, you go into the "Vehicles" manufacturing category and click on the type of car you want to make.

Then you see that none of the cars use either "Car Engine A" or "Car Engine B." So, you can decide for yourself. Personally, I think "Car Engine B" makes a better paperweight, while "Car Engine A" is a decent enough footstool....

Actually, when you look there, engine is not listed as a needed component at all. Only AFTER you make the car, and you try to go someplace, do you get the nasty suprise that you need an Engine.

Can you build a lock on a car without an engine? Or do all vehicles come with locks now?

All vehicles come with locks. If it doesn't come with a lock, chances are it's an older project, or it's buggish and you need to contact Resources. Which in turn will update the database, to make that updated vehicle have locks, but then Resources will tell you to contact Programming for them to fix your project, cause Resources can't do that.

That's an awesome answer.
