Tell me what you got. Any help would be appreciated. But first I have to finish writing it. So I'm not really ready to pitch the script or treatment to somebody. I just have a brief outline for the story, some of the script written, and I know where I want to go with the story and characters but i still have to find a way to get there.

Well, I don't think that old lady should be able to do a whole lot... as it's kind of unrealistic (my dad is big on this realism thing, so I get that from him). Um... maybe if the old lady is really someone else younger, like she rips off a mask or something. That might be a little cheesy though.

Unless this person is explained or has been introduced beforehand, that would also be an unlikely situation.

The story takes a turn to the supernatural in the second movie though hints of it will exist in the first movie. Maury isn't really human. Remember she is killed in the end (actually she is shot to death by Sid after their big hatchet and axe duel) but her body disappears (in other words she doesn't die but that'll be explored in a second movie). Plus have you ever seen some old woman and some of things they do? They're rare yes but not unrealistic.

But the best way I can describe the story is an X-Files atmosphere without aliens, an anti-Mulder and an anti-Scully, and no big government conspiracy. More like a town with a secret and two protagonists uncovering that secret.

Critique is good. It helps me see my strong and weak points in the story. That way I know what I need to work on and what I don't.

well, the thing is, for a critiqu to critisise, he needs to know the entyer story.
so far, i think it is an awesome story. althoug it's going to be a humoungous cliff hangr.

Yeah, would we know the motivation of Crazy Maury for killing the couple in the first movie?
