Smelting coins

Postby Lord_Igor » Tue Jun 07, 2005 3:57 pm

I think you should be able to smelt coins to retrieve the metal that was used in making them.

I have no experience with coins (in Cantr) so I don't know if this is already possible or if coins are actually made of metal.

You should be able to smelt all solid metal items...

Good idea! Dunno if it's been said before...

It has been said several times, along with burning all wood items to get charcoal

That makes sense. If you melted a gold coin, it would still be gold.

Works with pure metals but not with some alloys like steel. Each time you heat up steel, you destroy some of its carbon content which makes it weaker with each successive heating, thus blacksmiths try to forge the steel item with as few heatings as possible. I like the idea but I think that it would be alot of effort to program. I would like to see it, but I xpect, nor do I think that this idea is an absolute must

Smelting metal objects is something that we all want, to retrieve materials. You should see it in the future, in a best case scenario, so, please stop suggesting it? :P

You don't want people to make suggestions already made, Anthony?
Well shut down this forum, then.

Tomatoes aren't a food for hunger. They're a healing food.

You complain about things as often as I do.
Maybe more, because whenever I complain, you complain about my complaint. :D

A complaint about a complaint isn't classified as a complaint. It's classified as moderation against invalid complaints. :)
