Perhaps it's more efficient than burying or building tombs?

Especially when entire wings of the tombs mysteriously disappear....

There was about a week inside the Firecam building when the crew began to sing work songs, dance a bit, play games, etc. It was a pretty good time I thought. The most successful was the alphabet game that strongly resembled one of those postcount boosting threads on the Non-Cantr Discussion forum. The singalongs were shortlived, but well played.

My character tried to get some interesting conversation going inside the Metalworks in seatown Forest, but that died out pretty quick once the employees all started complaining. I think he messed up with the "what would you like to do with your life" question. It seemed to make them all depressed that they were just staring into the smelting furnace for a year.

I guess while inside, it becomes more important to RP and not just focus on the grocery list of chores that need to be taken care of. Lumin's newsletter would be a nice touch, but conversation useually seems to be most important for keeping things going, in my experience.

 That is just so terribly cruel a question to ask!

Especially there above all places.

I think Lumin's newsletter is brilliant and soooo close to how I always imagined Cantr. I mean, the type of newsletter. Such good writing is really lacking in the game, currently, of course with the notable exceptions. I think newspapers/-letters etc. can really live up the game and make is also much more interesting for newspawns or travellers to get a grasp of the type of town they arrived in. And it is a very crucial part of roleplay, I think, as you know better what is going on (potentially also over a larger area than just the one location) and you can start debating the newsletter itself or try go manipulate the news coverage etc. etc. Well done, Lumin :) ...

One thing that I think would be really successful is transferring newspapers of one town and spread them out, so ypeople in Krif hills knows whats going on in Seatown and such.

Essentially, paperboys/girls that go the distance to keep the region informed? :) I like it... it could be worked out similar to some of the post networks in some areas.

Now some characters need to start implementing, but first, I think more places need to get a newspaper started. I know there are some places that have a sort of a newsletter or something, but in some places, it has either fallen to the wayside as a priority or just never took flight.

Regional newspaper networks would be a very good way to keep people informed, though; much better than just waiting for someone to happen by who could tell the residents what's going on in another part of the region.
