Answer deleted, mind erased, find out In character!
:D Its not too hard to learn if you ask someone.

But it is shaped as the crow flies I think, and may or may not serve you in the US if you're under 21.

Since there's only one lockpicking tool, why doesn't the message you get when you try to go in a locked door just say what it is there? It'd be in game and less confusing, and we could avoid hearing this again and again.

Is this an answer people can give, or does that count as a breach?

Well most of the time.

If you need the answer ingame it's a breach.

Just ask some people ingame.

I learned that way too.

well, the rule is your character only knows what they have experienced/been told/ seen etc, so if someone told you, the player, your character still wouldn't know it, so using the information would be a breach as you'd be using OOC knowledge

I think this is nonsence, not telling what tool it is here on the forum. If he knew what the tools was for he would have known which tool to make in char. Your char is not going to try a carotharvester if he needs asperagus. The name carot harvester is much clearer, your char knows it won't work on asperagus. Why is it not the same with a lock picking tool?

And second. English people are in advance knowing the right tool by the name it shows in the building menu.

But hey, my chars have english friends :) But still...

Yeah... it's silly we can't say it - who can honestly admit that they would play their character not knowing it even if they have never seen or even heard about it ingame? Telling you if a person with a sabre and this thing walks into town you're sure gonna keep an eye on him, even if you've never seen anyone break a lock.

What's a raven pub? Oh, do you mean a place for Raves? Have glowstick been added to cantr? That's an even better use for phosporous than bronze!
