So RP around it? Your all very funny to me. You all want to have all these freedoms with how you play your person... but scoff when you don't like the way others do thiers.

Um, I don't believe I resemble that remark. Were you adressing someone in particular?
Also, this isn't a matter of character, it's a matter of physics.

Oh...and not seeing it hurts you. Maybe I'm just nosy...but I consider it advantageous to be able to see what people are up to.

That's how all rules work, primarily. It would be hard to catch someone intelligently violating the CR, for instance...but most people smart enough to do so understand that they shouldn't.

Physics in Cantr? You know this arguement too well.

We have cars that run on nothing. We can hold a significant amount of sand, in our hands alone. For all we know, when someone whispers, they magicly appear in a another universe for the while they are talking.

You might want to edit that out.

Well the subject is being talked about. Now let's see how our game will change. If people support the opinion.

A whisper is supposed to be a whisper.

Facial expressions are one thing, but if two people are standing right in the middle of town gesticulating wildly and shouting in each others faces, or if they decide to start to have sex right there in public, than it's ridiculous that no one notices. If you want to have anything beyond a quiet conversation in private, than go into a building or onto the road. It's common sense and not that difficult; honestly I think anything else is either very, very bad RP or a deliberate abuse of the whisper system.

This issue will inevitably come down to common sense. You can say it's bad RP, or that its good RP, but it won't change anything. I think Cantr is advancing fine at the moment, the way it is. Hopefully people will be realistic in how they play... but life goes on. Trying to regulate this would seriously drive players away, as well as creating more work for the already slightly overworked PD.

Just use common sense people.

I was about to say the same thing.

If you want to RP sex and not have people hear/see you, GET A ROOM.

Or a boat, or a secluded location.

As it is, people see two people whisper to each other more than three or four times in a row and they assume stuff.

I think * * actions should be public, if we have them, and it's the responsibility of the characters to get a room or deal with the consequences of having sex in public.

I whole-heartedly agree as well. I try to keep large, noticeable actions out of whispers to maintina realism. Occassionally I will throw them in becasue I don't feel like making several posts around the dialogue, but other than that large actions are visible to all in my book.

Smaller stuff is alrght IMO. I don't think it is entirely unreasonable to throw in a quick peck on the cheek, a quick hug, and smiles / frowns etc. into a whisper. But whisper sex in the town square is just right out. For sure, get a room if you need the privacy.

I dissagree... as big actions used in whispers aren't the kind the RPer in question would want to share with the rest of Cantranity.

Then that's why they should get some privacy.

And now, no one can have an extended whispered conversation without everyone else thinking that they're doing something.

I do believe Lumin hit the hot spot. A man cannot have sex with my wife in my bedroom without the chances on the consequences. But that's only sex. I can think of other subjects in Cantr. :)
Not that good.
