Give it back! :-(

Postby Skulty » Thu May 05, 2005 4:25 pm

What are the rules for the results of a project?!
I read the general rules and it said they should go to the floor, but when I finished an already started project with no inniciator and nobody working on it, all the carrots I farmed ended up in someone's inventory, leaving me with nothing but an injustice feeling!
And now what?! Whoever has taken my carrots is away from town.
Do I always have to start my own projects in order to get something for myself?

What presumably happened is that the project had no initiator present when you started work, but the initiator then came back (probably from inside a building).

It'll only end up in your inventory instead of on the ground if you start the project and are there when it ends.

Well, seems like I really lost'em. At least I've learned that finishing a started job just to get things faster isn't always the best solution.

Generally speaking, you might want to check the start time of a project. Some projects may not be really abandonded, just put on the back burner for a bit while the originator attends to some more pressing nead.

I have several characters who will start multiple projects, some inside some outside and decide which one to work based on many factors, including what tools I have at the moment, what I need most, and when I will login next.

Lesson learned, methinks.

Anything else on this issue can be found out in character. No need for discussion in General Support; therefore, topic locked.
