Weight (edited so many times...)

Postby Where are all the monkeys » Wed May 04, 2005 9:05 pm

My character just finished a tool project, and it ended up in his inventory. Only thing is, It means he is now carying some amount slightly more than the known maximum. Is this supposed to happen in there situations, or should I be reporting it to flyspray? :?

I've seen it happen time to time...why ye complaining about it, anyways? Once you drop the hammer out of inventory, the limit should once again be the normal maximum....

By the way, the proper spelling should be 'weight'.

better? :P

and yes, it does happen sometimes... just make sure you have somewhere to store the extra weight or get rid of it before you drop anything (as I found out - to my expense - bah!)

It's spelt 'weight' not 'wieght' , as you have it.

It's still wrong, damn you all!

Edit: And, yeah, you're not supposed to say how much a char can hold. One thing I don't see much sense in since everyone knows, except the latest half-dozen newspawns... but I'll edit it out anyway.

...

That's like a benchmark for paranoia. Don't tell them on of the most basic elements of the game.

Now what you need to do after skills have been ironed out is to apply the same system to strength, where you can train to carry more wieght, then randomise everyones carrying ability to the current max +/- in the range of 2 kilos.

Then we could do away with the wieght test, which is basically exploiting a feature of the game to test someones word rather than roleplay it out.
Reality was never my strong point.

Well a weight test isn't realistic, but neither is hiding resources when imprisoned.
