I play pretty much the same amount of time everyday but I am definitely a moody roleplayer. When the mood (and an interesting situation) strikes me I'll be all creative with one certain char and then will hardly say anything for a while because I honestly can't think of a thing to say or do. I feel really bad because my char will usually attract the attention of some other char and he is, naturally, expecting an ongoing, stimulating relationship but then my char (they're all girls because I just suck at playing guys) fizzles out on him.
I feel so guilty but there isn't really anything I can do about it. I know it's bad roleplaying because my chars are inconsistant...unless they're all just consistantly moody and inconsistant or whatever...
Anyway, my chars and I apologize to all the chars I've disappointed.

Yeah, work should definitely take priority over game. I have been slacking off at work recently, and it is starting to become apparent that I have to start putting Cantr down more during the day if I am ever going to finish my thesis. It's pretty hard sitting in front of a computer with internet access for a living. The firefox icon just sits there taunting me, "You want to play me. Go on click the button. Bwah Ha Ha!"
I still try to login over lunch and coffee breaks to check in. Don't know how consistent I have been lately, but I can definitely see how an active player can lose time. I try not to take it personally, and just chalk it up to life happening.

Much the same goes for me. Real life is getting hectic, papers need to be written, jobs need to be acquired, life needs to be lived. Thus, my RP can be very limited at sometimes.
When I have limited time to login, I will usually only look at my favorite characters and let the other ones sleep. This has made for some very sleepy characters in the past. I try to make up for it by posting well with my favs.
Also, there is one character that I have who doesn't speak much. It's not that he can't say more than one line, it's just his personality. I think that it's a bit wrong to assume that all one-liners are indicative of bad roleplay.
