Back on topic, since he died a few cantr years ago, I can tell you the name of one of my former characters:

Pump Mac Starfish (old yahoo forum anyone? )

Spawned on Aki island within the first year of its existence, managed to get an iron shield and a fair amount of extra iron due to discovering an iron seam 2 weeks before the change.

Never traveled with more than 3 people at a time; he outlived all of his travelling companions and settled in the R. at H. E. Something (secret!). He took only a few journeys elsewhere; one to where salt is and one to the Golden Fortress (i forget exactly where it is; he followed Valerie Parks' map).

At the G.F. he found a bunch of dead people, a crowbar, a crossbow, and other steel implements. He took what he could and went home. It was about this time that animals started dealing waaay more damage than before; no longer could he block all damage with his iron shield as before.
Three consecutive turns brought 3 consecutive wolf attacks, for over 20% each. Combined with a bear attack that took all his healing food and brought him to just over a quarter-strength.

He wound up at 25% strength, trying frantically to cook meat. It took him 5 days to make 5 days' worth of meat, and if he stepped outside to farm for onions he knew he'd be killed before he got anything.

Finally got tired of living life hopelessly and stepped outside for onions. He left his building unlocked and the key outside so someone could hopefully profit from his death. You can see the final result in my sig.

Thus passed Mac Starfish the Wanderer, arguably the only cantr character ever named after a Yahoo pr0n bot. (pump_mystarfish)

That Aki place must be pretty empty right now what with there being no spawning. The only character I ever hade there lived in a deserted town and this was when there was spawning. (he got killed by a lion!)

There is one town that tends to spawn people (AkiJalahadioSover) on Aki. So it's not completely vacant (plus those people who travel around via boat).

Well I'd just like to point out that all of my characters are secret unless someone's already declared my character, its not like I try to hide it. But I have 8 very active, very diverse chars. Do YOU know one? I've bet you've met one.
