It's a very bureacratic democracy.

We need a new senator, I think, and have done for a while. Noone's done anything about it, naturally.

Not as hard to get rid of the Senator as the Constitution makes it sound.

Or, your character could just run for office.

Harder, less satisfying, and even if it worked I doubt you'd get away with much change...

Besides, the character in question doesn't even begin to think that way.

I'd have to disagree. That's why the town is special. You can be nominated into office, and create change. Easily.

I'm not sure what character your refering to because I haven't played in a bit and only joined in at the end of this topic.

I only have one character there once, and I begged for death after a week there. I don't know how anyone could stand a town that talks that much gibberish.

I think the senator that is in place now is much better then any of the other senators the town ever had. This senator actually interprets the law instead of following it religiously or making it bend to the will of the government.

That was on my first account. And i'm pretty sure he left nd got killed by animals. It was more about how he felt then how he acted. I didnt know animals were so rabid back then

As a player who has studied the Quillanoi Constitution with a view to changing it, it is no mean feat by anyones standards. Convincing your peers takes a lot of charisma, and respect. Respect can take many many cantr years to build up, and even then won't garuntee you success.

Well, I wouldn't say Quillanoi is friendly, though they're at least non-violent. The one char I had passing through there was driven absolutely nuts by the long, boring discussions about the law and the constant political sniping that was going on between some of the people there.

Quillanoi is actually growing again.
I love Quillanoi, except for the band of OOCers that I've reported twice and they still persist...

The last post was made over a year ago in real time (that's 18.25 years in Cantr time). A lot can happen in Cantr that amount of time. Places that were once big get small.. eventually get big again.. get small.. sometimes turn into ghost towns. And the decline in players probably hasn't helped its population.
