I seriously hope you dont think that was me flipping out Jon. I could show you what it really is like when i do flip out though if you want.

And its not complaining, its telling you, as one of the biggest bitches, about his character on here, to leave him alone. Its his character, his choice to do what he wants to do with it, stop your bitching its a game.

I probably shouldn't post, because you all seemed to have shut up now.

I think maybe on one hand the idea that someone's RP (style) is not appreciated could have been left to another topic.

However it wasn't. People, seemed confused about why some would disapprove of his style and said things that weren't part of the point being made.

Noone has asked him to change. People made suggestions on what they think would make Fritter better. That doesn't mean he has to change his character and nor should he, unless he wanted to. Noone here has the right to ask someone to change their "rp" style unless its in confliction with CR. Otherwise, FRITTER is much able to go on like he always has been.

I personally am not asking for him to change his RP. (Praying to god that I don't run into fritter, because I probably will be mad. lol) Some people like to play their chars that way and feel expression isn't needed, some feel it is. Nothing to fret over. I can still appreciate that he's a pirate, but I'd appreciate a pirate that killed silently with at least a *SMIRK* as he was doing so, better. But who cares what I prefer? Im just one cow in a herd of many.

On another note, you can't expect that those who don't like how he's RP'ed, to stay silent. WE are free to voice an opinion of dislike, just as others are free to do the same to any other number of chars. (It just doesn't maybe belong in this topic. )

I wouldn't want him dead, but I do agree he is annoying. I know people hate when laws are strict. But people must understand what brings these laws about. Stubborness is just irrating and will just get people kicked out of town or in jail. :(

Yeah it sucks about some of the people his Char has killed, but at least he can do it and is doing it. Ive never seen so much bitching about someone killing other characters, i didnt see this much when Craktar and Maynard did it and i didnt see this much when an entire island was killed off. Just shut up and let him play as he had been, remember its a game life goes on and so does it.

Well, I can live with the occasional misspelled word or typo; I do it myself plenty of times. I guess I should have clarified that the thing that really gets on my nerves is consistently bad typing. (And I'm not talking about a well-roleplayed speech impediment.) There are some people who go around spewing this completely incomprehensible garbage all the time; not using punctuation or capitals, mixing up letters or leaving them out completely, etc. (And I don't consider something like 'afriad' or 'useed' or 'lngth' and 'respconcilbe' to be cases where a person honestly didn't know how to spell a word...more like plain ordinary carelessness.)

It just seems like a person with bad typing skills would notice that their characters never made any sense after awhile and start taking five seconds to glance over what they've written before hitting 'Enter.'

I don't think I'm one of the worst offenders, but I know my own typing look pretty "careless "at times. And I do know how to spell. Here are some of the reasons.

1) I'm dyslexic. I'm sure quite a number of others must be too. One problem with this is that it makes it hard to spot your own spelling errors, even if you do re-read carefully.

2) When the server is running really slow and I'm running out of minutes, I type as quickly as I can, get in a panic, and thus make more errors. Don't we all?

3) Unless you're speech is very short, you can't re-read the whole thing. The text window is too small, and nigh-on impossible to navigate.

4) I'm a clumsy typer. Not careless, just clumsy. (It's called "dyspraxia",
and also causes a slight speech impediment, known as a "lazy tongue". I just love the implication that youcan't be bothered to talk properly! Nah, I don't think anybody would seriously suggest that..but when it comes to typing....)

5) My keyboard sometimes sticks.

6) When I try and get round some of these problems by typing all my text into "Word" first, this sometimes (unpredictably) results in curoius character transformations (e.g apostrophes turning into pipes)

I don't for a moment think you were getting at me by the way. I'm just expaining all the reasons why I'm inclined to make allowances, myself. You never know what the other guy's up against.

Julie2: Have you tried using Notepad instead of Word? The lack of formatting in Notepad might lead to fewer messed up characters when you paste.

One advantage to linux is that cut and paste is much more efficient. (Finds one more lame excuse to get rid of microsoft :D ) I hate moving to windows and not having my vim terminal and third button paste.

This concludes the useless computer advice segment of my post.

Trust me that isnt why many people want Glen dead sparkle....

I HAD a mac gregor character that was murdered by glen just becuase glen could do it, my char and his GF who was also a mac gregor. First he let them starve abit and just when my character was weak enough the Coward attacked.

Glen needs to die.

(side note: This happened like 7 cantr years ago so i think its safe to talk about it.)

Well...I can't resist the temptation to react on this one.

Glen killed your char for two reasons. First because he needed food for his own GF and was hoping that you two could give him that.
Secondly because Kai was inactive most of the times and you were but a miserable whiner...not exactly the kind of people Glen likes to hang out with.
If either one of you had been even slightly challenging to RP with, they would have lived, instead of being killed by those elephants.
