Serious error in coal production rate.

Postby Just A Bill » Wed Dec 15, 2004 11:20 pm

I believe there is a problem with the rate of production of coal. According to a classic song 16 tons of coal is a reasonable amount of coal to be mined in one day. This converts to 14 514 955.8 grams. Since that is not an even number perhaps you could round it off to an even 14 million.

Please correct this oversight as soon as possible.

Who says that a Cantr gram equals a real life gram?

Better arguement...I'm not going to go see if that actually meant for one person to mine or for an entire mine, or anything like that, but I can address it directly.

Maybe you could mine that with training and post-industrial-refolution machinery. I kind of doubt you could get it by hand mining. Or even 'drilling' with hand-powered machines.

They are talking about reasonably modern mining (50-100 yrs ago), for one person, working in an established mine. Of course they had explosives, which can really speed up the process :D

Did you not read my post dude? A Cantr gram doesn't equal a metric gram.

Real people can't survive off 100g potatoes a day either.
Nor do houses weigh 25 kilograms.

Perhaps Cantrians are just really really small?

Even in that case, if you are smaller you would also logically gather less coal.

Thats what I was meaning.
Smaller people means that you can harvest less coal and you need less food and so on.

Ain't that obvious? I suggested ages ago that Cantrians are midgets... It's still out there somewhere.

Cantrian's are strange creatures that live in Jos's garden, all the problems seem to happen when Ireland gets too much rain.

Hmmm, that reminds me of something...

Well the way i figure is.

The coal is mined on the survace. Therefore it's a smaller ammount then if it was mined in a mine. It's the same for all metals and stones really.
