Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

I agree with Jos.
Bcause i use the freeestyle often if i talk to a person with an unknown language.
I say something in my language and describe the gesture i make in *gesturing*.
Or if i wpold point on different known people in one sentence.. eg.: *pointing on Mr X. Mr. Y & Lady in red*
So the others must not scroll half an hor to know who i am pointing on and read my sayings..
Im a slow walker, but never walk backwards

emotes
I'm begining to be more inclined with the emotes cause if they are put in and you make a list of of gesture. You coould play on some of these other languages with out know it fluently. the *...* works great but this would give some who are not so inclined with an avenue. Mybe encourage to RP a little more.

What about reversing it?
Instead of emotes and alternate button instead of say.
666-6: You see a man in his twenties thwap a man in his thirities.
Created by a new button called "DO" instead of say.
You would type in "thawp <PLAYER ID=123456>" then press the "Do" button.
Or a little easier than putting the "Do" button on the events page is to put a "Do" icon on the people page. You would click the "Do" icon (just like the talk to icon) and is would bring up a "Do" screen which looks just like the "Talk to" screen.
Type "Smashes a grape on <Player> forehead"
