You mean the Agony family? The woman who was killed by Leeroy Jenkins kind of character with a crossbow while she was already arrested and tied to a car seat?

"Family" haha. Yes. Dory Agony is who I was thinking of.

Yeah, she insisted on giving the prisoners new names and was brainwashing them into believing they were her family members. I remember one was called Adelicia.

When you want to say that char (or player) to please please please not do "that" because it'll be sooooo annoying... But your character instead gets all excited by the idea -.-

When the character that was making you laugh every day and was keeping you happy in a period of awful stress turns into a character that makes you cry.
Don't blame me if I stop playing it for a while, I still need a bit of my sanity for the next days...

When my characters are the only ones able to make decisions but are also the ones that can not make the decisions.
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.

I really thought when they said mailboxes were fixed they meant that they were functioning like a real mailbox.
It's annoying that if this mailbox is locked no one without the key can put anything in it. Where's the fricking sense in that?
I'm pretty sure every locked mailbox I've ever owned has had the capability to accept letters (through the mail slot!) when closed/locked. But no. In cantr I either leave it unlocked and have all my mail at risk, locked and keys made for ten people still leaving my mail at risk and only able to receive from certain people, or only send letters to myself. Yay.
I wouldn't have wasted the resources on it if I'd known they still weren't functional.

So obviously someone needs to become a mailman... A trusted individual who goes from town to town, delivering mail.

Enh it sucks though anyone should be able to drop it in. Especially if they're local and you're away/out of sight etc.

I'm just imagining writing a goods order, sticking it an envelope, then....instead of walking two feet to the business and dropping it in the mailbox, we wait an ig yr or two for wolfsong''s character to come walk it those two feet for us...

My character? Noooo. They'd run a vast agency, employing runners and other postmen. A postman for every town!
And a healthy black market trade in secrets on the side.
Edit: For the record, I agree with you.

Re: Things that annoy or puzzle you about Cantr
Part of me returning was that I promised myself not to share any recent on-goings or active on-goings in the game. So I'll try to be vague with this one - though it's probably fine as it's an old event by now. But when you said...
...I went on a bit of a spiral thinking about whether a black market would ever exist in Cantr. What could cause such a problem that it would become banned?
Alcohol!
Then I wondered if one of SekoETC's characters (this is the part I'm going to be vague about) intentionally got drunk and made a ruckus to show how bad drunkenness really is - and in turn set the political climate to ban alcohol! I don't doubt SekoETC is an absolute pro player and roleplayer though I might be stretching what she intended. Curious on your input Seko?
That event would set a perfect precedent for banning alcohol. It would be super interesting to have speakeasys and have people thrown in jail for consuming alcohol.
