Did that happen often I wonder? Because if so then wow okay I think we just solved the mystery of why we don't get many new players.

I wonder how many staff and player applications were lost this way. It's been a problem for a long time now.

I know my friend's application was lost. I think she even sent in a second one after I pestered Ally about it and he told me he hadn't received her first one, and her second one wasn't received either. She stopped trying after that.

I tried to get my friend to join Cantr, she'd never even heard of the game before, but when she went to apply to join it said she already had an account. She sent out a message or email for help and she got no response. She eventually gave up, we were pretty bummed about it.

Seems like that is a big problem and should be fixed asap :/ Though I do know finding a bug from large amount of code can be frustrating

Even if the problem can't be straight up fixed it'd probably be worth something like someone on PD setting up an unrelated email and a note on the signup page like 'We've been having some issues with signups lately - if you haven't been acknowledged within 48/72 hours email us at [email account] to make sure your application hasn't been eaten.'.
