That reminds me of the guy who kept getting attacked by wolves until he was entirely crippled. Last I heard he was trying to hire a nurse on the radio. Personally I wondered why he kept sitting outside in that chair.

Lately. Everything. The only characters I can comfortably play are either in high population areas or behind closed doors. I'm just about sick of the relationship aspect being the only playable aspect of the game. I might as well stop logging in before my family figures that out and thinks this has been a sexting game this whole time.

When was the last time I enjoyed the game? 5 years ago on a computer. Not in today's cantr world with only an iPhone. Grrrrr...... Why do I have to be a broke disabled lower class schlep? I should have a working computer by now.

Shame to see newspawns that don't play long and just sleep away despite all help you give them :( Also damn newspawn thieves

Also I have wondered how account deletion goes to sleepers? I have seen some (And still sleeping) over decade and then there's some folks that drop dead after couple years. So is there some automatic thing or..?

There is an automatic account time out, but there is also vacation mode where it extends how long the account will stay active without automatically timing out. I suppose someone could come back right as its going to run out and put it in vacation mode again?

In other news....you darned sleepers! My character's were depending on you! Still are! WAKE UP!

Sometimes when a character is sleeping but won't have a heart attack, it means the player is still playing their other characters but just doesn't care about this particular town, or it's too busy for their liking. I used to have a Swedish character who liked a Spanish town enough to stay there, yet he didn't know much Spanish so he just slept. He never got around to leaving and eventually starved to death. This was before the skull indicators were implemented. He just saw it as too overwhelming to sail the rest of the way around the continent to return to Swedish lands.

Yes that's also possible but I just thought about that since I saw one person had died where I knew player had asked others that we feed that char while that person was being sick but was gonna come back again. (Or so player said) And then I remembered hey there's that one who has slept years so I got curious. I actually think that time limit is maybe 40-60 days since newspawns fall rather quickly if they just sleep

There's vacation mode, which means characters don't die from inactivity as long as someone feeds them. Then there's when someone just decides not to play that character while playing their other characters. Then there are banned players.

Vacation mode is understandable if IG arrangements are made ahead of time.
Banning sucks since the player isn't really allowed to have their character make those arrangements.
Players playing some characters while completely ignoring others are kind of maddening.

I once argued that it's unfair to leave the characters hanging forever if a player is permabanned, and in that case they let the characters have heart attacks after my appeal, but I don't know if that was an exception to the rule or a policy change.

Feeling the same hurt through one of your favourite characters as you've experienced in real life. Sometimes this game can be so emotionally difficult :(

My female characters are always so much more interesting in general than my male characters, and I can't figure out why. Logically I should be able to do more with male characters, since I am also a male. But my male characters seem to be clones of each other!

Used to be the same for me when I first played. I was surprised to find out it had changed when I re-joined a year ago.

Undine, I find the same. With one or two exceptions I do better with male characters.

From your responses, I'm starting to think that it's a common thing. I wonder why that is?

In the beginning, I did better with male characters because I hadn't yet come out of my shell in figuring out this game or how to behave. People tend to leave my male characters alone and give them the benefit of the doubt, and I found that I liked being given that extra, personal space just because I was playing 'male.' But now I'm starting to more fully embrace my female side, and so my female characters are now my favorites. It requires that I have rather strong boundaries though.
