They should show up on a raft. Wielding a spoon.
And you don't have to use the name Guybrush Threepwood, but you should still be sure to always introduce yourself with 'My name is [whatever], and I'm a mighty pirate!"

The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon- Spoon killer <- This would be so hilarious

I kind of want to do this now. Take one of those newspawns that never wakes up, and...I don't know if I'd have the patience to get them down from full health, but the killing blow could be done with a spoon or a waster or whatever. Or a cotton parasol.

A spoon would make you a cereal killer right?
and Hyrle... you could demand a shrubbery.
I have one idea and a name picked out, but I will just do it when the time is right.
I just worry that the rp will be good and fun for about a month and then the gimmick wears out.

Re: Types of characters you'd like to play?
This one's sort of boring but for some reason it really appeals to me. I probably will make them eventually when I lose one of my current characters.
The Perfectly Normal Person
Someone who settles in a town, gets a job and works on it for so many hours a day, then at night goes to their house and lies down on their bed and goes to sleep. They don't carry around a year's worth of food at a time, but cook meals for a day or two at most. Every once in awhile they'll take a vacation, bicycling to visit their neighbors down the road just to go shopping and see the sights.
They don't lug around a shield and giant battle axe like some kind of medieval-era maniac, because they are a Perfectly Normal Person.
Otherwise, I've always wanted a character that specializes just in making one particular item. Only it needs to be something you don't see often, like they spend their entire life making glass bottles or sparklers or water balloons or some other random obscure, possibly useless thing.

You mean like Ned Flanders?

I really want to play some sort of criminal or pirate, but sadly, that's impossible because of
A) My recent lack of Cantr playing-time
and
B) Current game circumstances.

Honestly I'd love to see more characters that are evil or just unpleasant without going for the low-hanging fruit of 'being a pirate'.

I've got a criminal/thief at the moment in a position of slight power, but I refuse to (OOCly) kill any characters given the current game population... So he's just demanding they hand things over while locked in a room or he'll let them starve. If they resist, honestly he'll probably let them go. SIGH.

See, as much as I dislike random murders in this game, I'd absolutely let the other character die in that situation unless they had a VERY convincing IC reason for preferring a slow death by starvation over handing over their shinies. IMO that's a very generous amount of time to give someone a chance to cooperate, considering they know you'll get everything anyway once they drop...just look at criminals who would rather die than turn around on the road how OOC that always seems, and then imagine they had another 20+ days to think about it were still all 'NOPE.'
But if they hand over their things and you kill them anyway you're a dick just fyi

Haha, I totally agree. I was already torn enough to do this, I felt horrible OOC.
Re: criminals, I've played my fair share of them, and 90% will eventually give up if pursued enough and they don't believe they can get away. Suicidal newspawns are dumb in most cases.

Re: Types of characters you'd like to play?
I would like to successfully play a manipulative villain who is the head of some sort of secret society or organization designed to be made by and for criminals that only members know about. Think of a 'den of thieves'. Not just a group mind you such as a circle of friends or associates. I mean an island wide 'guild' of villains with secret connections and agendas. It's extremely difficult, and I've attempted before, but the story was cut short due to my lack of time to play and consequent unsub. I'd like to try again sometime.
