I have actually seen quite a lot of deaths where the deceased did a graceful parting, by leaving all their stuff in a building (except the key to it), handing over the key to some trusted char, fainting and collapsing.

I have also seen deaths in large towns where we still have to find the body, years later. Probably in one of hundreds of ships or vehicles. :)

The most neatly done death in Cantr I ever saw was a very old lady who, on feeling chest pains, handed her keys and belongings over, organised her notes into envelopes, explained what she wanted doing with her stuff and said who needed to know of her death, then keeled over when that was all pretty much sorted.

Would have been very tidy if she and my character hadn't been alone on a fast boat that my character and I had no idea how to steer at the time :3

I do try and make my characters' deaths minimally inconvenient - unlock the room if no one else has a key, tidy up scrap notes, take off clothes they don't want to be buried in. The exception who'd intentionally make it difficult for people probably will never chose to die anyway.

Okay, I'll revise my statement:

Dead *sleepers* are good at doing that.

Howard. Spawn in Moku I believe, left shortly. Most prominent features would be burn marks over 75% of his body after a tragic accident. Left due to some difference of opinion, trudging his way through to a certain under populated town, being nursed back and helping out that's to a certain character. Shortly after....pirates or raiders. Can't tell which. Reason I refrained from posting this was because i couldn't tell it the situation was ongoing. Since I haven't heard anything about it, here it is.

IMO character was RPed pretty bad. He didn't feel any pain or fear. I don't like characters like this and it was obvious that he'll die.

The second of these is one a few characters will register as news but none will likely register as major news, so I've waited the standard four days rather than try to figure when people will know already.

Iota of Doryiskom
This was quite a while ago but he didn't really earn his own post. He was pretty much doomed from the moment he spawned - an ambitious and unpleasant but not evil guy in a hopelessly sleepy town, one more character than the absolute most I could handle and too near to my other characters. I tried keeping him going for a while but in the end we just gave up.

Cats of the north-western bits of Treefeather, originally of Klojt
I could go on forever about Cats (his name came from my screen name though, not the other way 'round :3), he was my first character and he probably knew the most people of all of my characters. He grew and changed very fast from what he was when he spawned, kept a diary which was a long way out of date by the time he died, kept on moving and never stopped anywhere as long or as many times as he stopped in Plaekur Hills. He might have fallen in love or just found a really good friend, but she fell asleep before he figured that out and though he kept going while she slept everything fell apart for him when she died. He crossed the mountains of western Treefeather with a map, some kebabs, a wooden cart and the very basics of newspawn supplies in fear for his life after nearly being axed to death at less than a year after spawning, and spent the rest of his life as a wandering trader. I had to open a thesaurus browser tab to play him some days :/ I'm curious though, how those who met him (the characters and/or their players) would describe him. He felt to me like the kind of person who gets put in Hufflepuff 'cause he was sorta nice but not much else positive.

I'd have quite liked to have kept him (though I think he was the one I RPed worst) but he was the most IC likely to give up on life and I really can't keep up with the characters I have.

Last Templar of the Rose: Merrick Hills. Finally let him go so he could be with his wife Lucy Tang. He never got over the heartbreak of losing her.

Kelda MacFee

...I wish I'd had the energy to play her properly, but I never could quite muster up enough energy past the initial burst of enthusiasm. She'd been fading for a while.

Grayson (Noll to some) of Seatown.
I had a long thing written but I think it's better just to say I'm really sorry I had to let him go, and I'm very grateful to the people he knew for the time spent RPing together. I would have loved for him to have pulled himself together but it was making me miserable to be in his head and there was nothing I could fix it with that wouldn't have been OOC.

I never did write here about Sasha, did I? Technically, he passed away a while ago, back on day 4562, so whilst his death has been announced (they've probably broken into the room he was in after not hearing from him for ages) today, I don't think the four day rule necessarily counts.

Sasha Kovalesky was born on day 2994 and followed his beloved Forest to the grave on day 4562 after a long life of travelling. He spent much of his life with friends from his spawntown of Hills of Hilloi South on their bus, but eventually the group began to pass away one by one, with most buried in HoHS. Sasha eventually decided to settle down in Quillanoi Forest and use the vast, vast amounts of resources he had in his bus on projects, wanting to either give it away or use it all up. Most was stored in the Quillanoi Inn, whilst Sasha discovered even more in Asher's house once, when she had left to trade but left her door unlocked. Luckily, the Forest is a peaceful place with no crime, so he wasn't too worried about the unlocked door. His final days were spent deciding to place Forest in a sarcophagus, but he passed in his sleep before he could complete it.
