Wooden spoons seem to lack this ability still.

Those should be describable with rice paper like all non-clothing containers. If they're not that is rather strange.

Then there is a difference between wooden plates and wooden spons? They are both non-clothing, and containers? The plate can be described without using rice paper.

I'm not sure about that either, there's some storage furniture that can be described right away and then there's chests that need rice paper. On second thought it's not as consistent as I thought it was. It was done before I joined RD so I'm not sure what the reasoning was.

One can't say that "all" non-clothing containers use rice paper, because there are things that use other tools, like a paintbrush for ceramics. Common sense should be used here. If it's likely to have a label rather than a custom appearance then rice paper, otherwise a tool that fits the material. There's no reason to start arguing over this. It would make more sense to use a chisel for chests than a label.

To make Cantr more phone (or touchscreen in general) friendly, can the whisper-icons be a few millimeters higher away from the typing-bar thingy? I keep clicking them and then accidentally whispering -.-

Code: Select all

#whisperingBookmarks div input { margin-bottom: 30px; }
There's probably a better way to do that, but here's the first way I found. I don't know how many px you need for a few millimeters, but you can play around with that in your Custom CSS skin (Player Settings, Interface)

Just made all remaining musical instruments describable. Please let me know if any are still missing. Also, sextants can now have paper labels.

A new doll is added to the roleplay section of the manufacture menu: the wooden puppet. The name is left intentionally vague so that they can be marionettes (they use string in the process), plain wooden puppets or more cutesy/decorated dolls (they are described with the paintbrush).

Happy holidays from RD (we didn't plan the date )

Yay for the dolls, but when will we have mirrors? Let us be egoistic, narcisistic shallows.

Will we be noticed when a shipwreck ends up in a town? Should my chars stop running into the harbour to look for one? :-)

All of this new complicated stuff, but still no horse domestication, not even talking about horse back riding. And even then, the issue that is apparently in the way is non-existent. How to make and store hay on the road to feed the horse? Make saddlebags machines that dry grass as well as store it. Or, make a feed bag. All can just be made with some leather and iron. :c *sigh*

You'd be welcome to join RD. Having more input is never bad, and horseback riding especially needs more. It's a delicate system that needs to be balanced between overpowered and useless. The intention is to make horses the preferred vehicle for explorers, while cars are still better on roads.

Nonetheless, Greek is working on dozens of projects at once and it is his decision which he wants to work on. After all he does this in his free time. Horses will come soon enough! :)

Programming changes is not a simple task.
But that does seem like a good idea.

What is this RD you speak of? xD And sure, I understand that is needs to be balanced, but I'm mostly looking forward to just being able to domesticate them. I have a character that couldn't get away with riding one, but she has personal reasons for wanting one. Horses are therapeutic, or so I've heard. As for the explorer thing, that's another major reason why I want them. A lot of my characters would love to ride around on horse back.

As for the suggestion itself, I could have sworn you made it and I just agreed, now I'm spitting it out here because every time I see a new announcement for updates, I scan through it for the words 'horse domestication'. Nothing comes up. :C If you think about it, it would be more realistic to make it that we can domesticate horses now, then have to wait some time before we can ride them. Characters can rp 'breaking' the horses in by trying to ride them bare back.

Sure, programming changes isn't hard, but I thought the code for domestication was floating around already?
