I will give three points (now serious), because of this would -probably- never be implemented (I never take anything for granted).
First: Honestly, I don't know if it would ruin the game. But Imo, It would goes against the spirit of the game. The idea of Cantr now (and always, as far as I know) is that you can develop a society, without any prefixed ideas of the real world (at least, it's what Cantr sells to the potential players...).
Second: It's already sooo dificult for some players put aside all the stereotypes from real world (about a large amount of things); If we introduce families to the game, we would have to deal with all the stereotypes attached to them, that some players (unconsciously) would introduce with it.
Third: (the most serious to me)

Oh... if its 'consensual' would that make it right, or just even more tasteless?[...]
It would entail a BUNCH of new rules. Because, let's be clear, they would be needed as the NCS rule was needed. And at this point, it would be an authentic legal headache (without going any further, and even when they 'still' don't affect the online games, comes to my mind the latest regulations in the UK about pornography...so yes, I would say without risk of contradiction, that would be a legal headache). And it would be a legal problem because remember that no matter how many rules we make, they don't prevent things to happen, just punish when the thing already has happened, and games rules are a very thin legal shield...
