Re: Things that annoy or puzzle you about Cantr
All games have always some ''cheaters'' or people who take things too personally to the point they actually start to make even threats. This is just something that comes with anonymity.
CANTR is nice game and I like to play this, actually more than I enjoy playing games like COD. It's people that make this game good, but they also can make it worse. As long there are more good than bad it's balanced

Drama isn't a bad thing when done correctly. The problem is when players take the drama OOC and try to manipulate other players to do what they want.
Characters trying to manipulate characters = fine
Players trying to manipulate players = not fine.
And while calling out specific players is tempting, it should not be done. It doesn't matter how horrible or ridiculous they are/were, negative comments that target players should not be made in the public forum discussions. Lets keep comments generalized so that the discussion doesn't need to be locked.

This happened to me a good few times now, and it always makes me happy that I'm apparently not as alone in my style as I thought.
But that's neither annoying nor puzzling to me, I just wanted to acknowledge it, so on topic... um...
I find it puzzling/annoying how rare these other people who play like me must be since I've never met or previously heard of any of the characters people guessed I was (except for two that actually were mine, so they don't count). But I'm sure I'm just not trying hard enough to find them (for both IC and OOC reasons). If I ever feel like I've got the OOC time and the IC motive for it, I'll find them to play happily with

I seem to get that too, refreshing because on the other hand I'm told I can be spotted a mile away.
I cut -almost- all OOC, and it's the best thing I ever did.

Drama's great when it stays very OC. OOC, it's horrid.
Also, I really wish I could get a compiled history of the events of Cantr. That'd be amazing, just for OOC reasons.

Puzzling.. Why doesn't manufacturing a fur rug use any skills?

There's a few projects like that. Glass and installing a window, too.

Usually if something doesn't use a particular skill it's hard to think what skill it'd use if it used one. I'd immediately assume tailoring on making a fur rug.
On that note, I do wonder sometimes why burying and digging are separate skills. I suppose it gives a reason for large towns to designate a specific person to deal with corpses if they bury their dead but really how is digging a hole for a corpse so different to digging up stone or sand?

It seems a bit like an oversight, though... Even the Wiki says it uses carpenting

Because one involves putting something in the ground while the other is taking stuff out...?

I don't really get it. I mean, a burying project takes only two hours alone, it's not really that big of a thing.

Three hours if you're rubbish at it and don't have a shovel...
I hate to think how shallow the graves are dug by those without a shovel - I don't think I could move enough earth with just my hands to put someone 6ft under, even in three hours rather than two...
