It's not that I don't really want to bother doing much for FTO, it's just that even when you are the Creator of All, sometimes you have favorites.
Cantr is Mine.
Cantr is Mine.

I recently discovered there also seems to be a preference for previous players in FTO. I had an old account..I actually discovered FTO first, then Cantr from there several years ago, but stopped playing FTO after I found Cantr. So, I forgot my password for FTO. When I read here that people were still actively playing there, I went back to try again but couldn't remember my password and no longer use the email attached to the account. So, I made a new account and sat in the que for a looooong time, going back and forth in position as mentioned here. Finally, in frustration when my character was back at position 152 after being around 100 a while, I taxed my brain to try lots of possible passwords for my old account and stumbled across it..finally able to log in and enter the birth que.
My character was born the next day..

You must've already been in the birth queue, in that case. Because if you're not and come back, you still need to wait several months.

I think you're automatically re-added to the queue after your old character dies or something.
I logged in to check and got this: Congratulations, you're next in line to be born!

You don't get automatically re-added, you must've entered the queue in the past and forgotten about it.

No, I deliberately entered it one day and was born the next. I actually tried it as an experiment to see if it would advance me faster, and it did. I was both surprised, and not surprised, that it worked.

Stop queue jumping! Damnit. I was sooo close to being in the 50s (again) and now I'm probably back to 83 (...again).

Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
I realized that was my old account from before I joined FTO staff. I never played on that one so that explains why I was at the front.
I tried to log into my main account and I keep getting this page that doesn't exist: http://www.faerytaleonline.com/terms-updated.html
It won't allow me to get into my character portal.

I think they closed known multi-accounts. Apparently they didn't know which one was a multi and which a main.

So I played a bit, and I intend to try it out for a while with minimal input. It is really laggy with everything loading separately and the interface is so very small. It has atmosphere and all that, but it doesn't really work for me like it used to. Practically two-thirds of the page goes unused.

Er.... OK. "A star has fallen from the sky in the shape of a young boy!" I checked my position in the queue last night and was number 68. I guess Lumin is trying to salvage the game by spontaneously spawning chars at age 10? The only other occupant of the town is a pre-teen female, no buildings and not much of anything else.

I hope they at least checked that it's possible to survive in the locations where they land. It's going to suck if there's no food to harvest.
Edit: Judging by their facebook group, the locations were completely randomized. So it's a total lottery of which ones are going to survive.

Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
Interesting. Mine ended up in a tundra with hills and a lake to forage, at least. There's evidence of travelers having been through the town but they left very little: two statuettes and meager resources, some graves. At least the girl has been awake and started foraging. Would've been nice if we didn't spawn at "starving" so we'd have a little more time to fend for ourselves. Hopefully they survive the lack of food and the cold. And I hope the other char isn't a total bitch.
I should make mine abusive since she'd have to either put up with it or take her chances traveling.

Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
I think the key to surviving might be to hunt easy prey and eat their entrails. I'd be surprised if it will be even possible to find materials to get a fire started in this environment. I found some agate, so I can make an agate knife, but I wouldn't want to start working on such a short project right before bedtime. The problem with FTO is you really have to log in like once an hour for example to use fires before they die.

Ah, I forgot about entrails! I was hoping to find some berries or something that could be prepared raw.
