Are "taming" or any of the other domestication actions associated with a particular skill?

Any chance we could get a way to tame dire wolves before they're completely eradicated? They make things interested even in the more advanced towns, but everywhere I go they're in the process of being wiped out.

It would also be cool if ocelots could be tamed into housecats, even though I don't have anyone left on that island.

I know one place where direwolves are not to be hunted so they shouldn't get -totally- wiped off the green.

It'll be really hard to completely eradicate any species.

If it is on the Pok island there is a concern about dire wolves, don't worry. They breed in the empty mountain locations and migrate to the populated areas.

Maybe some information about pigs.
These animal types are domesticable: bearded pig, bushpig, giant forest hog, warthog, wild boar.
They can eat vegetables and meat feed. When butchered they give significant amount of pork. They can be bred on any terrain type.

Has anyone done anything with the new meat types yet or are we all just naming and petting the animals?

I want to be able to build a slaughterhouse with an industrial-sized mutton and beef grinder and start cranking out sausages and meat pies and cheeseburgers and dubious tinned meat products for the entire region.

Would it be possible to get more animals as pets? I could see a lot of the animals capable of becoming pets, though some of the bigger more dangerous probably ones not. (Mammoths, Hippos)

I have a char that has been protecting and interacting with mammoths for 50 years. He surely deserve a mammoth pet. :)
