That is what I am opposing to with my posts, not whether morse is a language or not (which it isn't).

I'm kind of depressed the base-10 numeric system wasn't considered OOC as well. Would have been interesting to see chars come up with their own systems in-game.

Ah, Morse code. My amateur radio license expired more than two decades ago, but I still can read the stuff. But, yeah, it's a encoding scheme, no less than ASCII or Unicode, and not a languageso it shouldn't come under the rubric of "Your character is not allowed to speak, read, write in or understand any other language..."

This is different from ASL, which is a true language (and which I also use and understand, but nowhere near the fluency of my wife) and therefore would fall under that. Unfortunately, writing schemes for it are not widely understood. (here's my webpage from many years back featuring three different notations)

English language only has 26 letters and digits 0-9. Can't be that hard :D Codes aren't meant for long convo's...

Upon ending up in a new location, my characters companion decides to take the opportunity to look over a translation note and speak a bit of Spanish to introduce my character (we ended up in a spanish area). After doing this, this was said by him after.

****says: "First one of them would have to wake up. Then we can go from there with these translations. *reads more* Oh crap, I introduced you as my 'ice cream crank'. Sorry."

Gave me a good chuckle today and thought you would enjoy.

From bottom to top.
Thought this was hilarious.
3646-3.09: B says: "*He looks confused* Where are the onions and potatoes?"
3646-3.08: B says: "*He chuckes* Sure sure... *Shaking his head gently* Not that it's to hard a task."
3646-2.32: A says: "I'm really tired right now so if someone could add the potatoes and the onions it would be great."
Image
3431-5.19: You novicely kill a badger using a bare fist.
4037-4.03: You expertly kill an elephant using a crumbling bone spear.

I literally died.
