I haven't reproduce the error again myself, however the problem was happening on my PC which is hardwired to my net. When I think back to that day I remember doing a date/time change on my computer, so I suspect that may have been the cause for me.

If there is an error like this that happens regularly for some people, then I can see it being the source of a great deal of frustration, and if the player is new I would suspect they would stop playing all together. While I was having this problem, I could literally not play at all.

So, what I can tell? I have this one time too and I waste few hours to find sourse - my only conclusion is web-client error. In that time others sites that use standard cookies mechanism did't work correctly too. I haven't any idea what we can do with this with my actual knowledge.

Well, if this is a browser problem that effects all sites using cookies, then there is probably very little that can be done. *shrugs*

I have been doing some research, and the information I have gathered so far is rather vague.
However, every location with information has used the same statements... Many mobile internet providers take the cookie into the gateway server instead of the client, where it is usually removed before the exp to clear the database.
I assume similar would happen with cookies being 'forgotten' when a slight interruption is caused in the connection of wireless devices.

A lot of the more reliable websites on wireless/wap, use a session id instead of 'long term' cookies. I don't know if that could be a possible solution because my programming experience doesn't go beyond the sinclair zx spectrum... But as far as I'm aware, a session id (or short term cookie) remains until the browser is closed, rather than 'when the device feels like clearing it'.

So, I have some possible solution, or maybe chance to make this problem rarer. I need talk about this with others at our ProgForum, I will let you know about the conclusions.
