Best excuse to avoid trouble and/or death

Postby EddyEdworthy » Fri Aug 20, 2004 7:40 pm

Oliver Reidel walked inot a town, took everything and left. When confronted by a man who attacked him accusing him of stealing Oliver said:

"I was doing my tax runs. I have to collect items from every town, otherwise my homeland`s army would plow through and kill everyone"

Funnily enough he got away with it!

It's better than "The devil made me do it  ."

Actually, more or less the same, but without referencing OOC religion.

But people are more likely to beleive in the threat from some purely material army than supernatural forces they have no reason to imagine exist.

That is really great. I've always wanted to do something like that...but I'm always to subtle and cautious.

Thanks, It was a real on-the-spot quick thought job. I think Oliver's frame of mind was  "Ok if I don't act fast this guy's gonna kill me!"

Then he realised - A single person can only attack you once per day, and he'd be long gone by then... Stupid stupid Oliver.....

"I'm illiterate."

"OOC: I'm a Mute."

"Woof woof! OOC: I'm a dog."
Reality was never my strong point.

One of may characters once broke the law somewhere by knowingly mining limestone when it wasn't allowed. She was beaten nearly to death, then she fled. Some one from the town, but not a member of the government, went out on the road to kill her but my character reasoned with her and told her she'd turn around and hand in the limestone in exchange for her life. The woman agreed, and when my character got back to the town, she told the government officials she had been granted amnesty even though that woman had no authority at all. Then she gave them about a third of the limestone. No one questioned or bothered her. She left to go plan her revenge. All the other characters involved are now dead (although not by my hand :( ).

One of my characters, the only real "grab and runner" I have ever had, tried to bluff her pursuers that she was amongst the nobility of a kingdom that had taken hold of their neighbouring location...she almost scared them off, but she lost her life...

Cantr isnt that type of game, and hopefully will never will be...
Suicide attacks can still be done.. Just not with "nuclear weapons"

Bottoms up.

916-1: Thief says: "*licks her lips*"

916-1: Thief says: "nor my whole body? or just my lower body?......*slowly runs her hand arcoss her body,* I could give you the time of your life if you let me go"

916-1: Thief says: "why would you want to hit me? Do my breast not tempt you?"

I hope someone takes advantage of her before she dies, just for kicks.
