It's a European thing. It was really weird when we went to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Edinburgh. I was like, "Assigned seats? What the heck?"

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
So I am minding my own business yesterday and playing some Cantr when suddenly from behind my TV, something moves...I freak out, jump up on the couch so that whatever it is won't eat me (because you know, me being 6' tall am just bite size). After a moment, it moves again...enough to pull my electronics across the floor. I may or may not have squealed...but then managed to calm my nerves. So I carefully climbed over the back of the couch, grabbed a shoe, had a moment to realize that whatever is moving back there probably requires more than a shoe so I grabbed a whiffle bat (because that would inflict so much more damage than a shoe
So at this point, I am thinking that I have just lost my mind and am ready to settle back on the couch when it moved again. Being the jumpy person I am, I scream, drop the bat and do a little jumpy "don't eat me" dance. After my nerves calmed I realized that it was the cable cord that was moving and not anything that would eat me. Of course, this made me freak out a little more since I was envisioning something in my walls, tugging at the cord. Bravely, I traced the cord back to the wall and realized that it went outside...."shit" was all I could think. Sure enough, I go outside, and my darling little puppies have taken the cord and decided that it would make a great tug of war toy. They pulled the cord out from where it was nailed to the wall, and are tugging, and shaking as they try to defeat their new foe.
As you can imagine, I was a little frustrated. Especially since we don't have cable and this cord is just a left over from the previous resident's DirectTV service or something. I'm a little bit of a hot head, so after growling at my dogs I grabbed a pair of cutters and disconnected the wire without confirming that it was in fact a useless cord. Satisfied that my dogs could no longer inflict damage on my house, I went back inside and resumed my position of comfort on the couch with my Macbook secured back on my lap.
Well...apparently the cable had a use. Because now I have no internet and had to sneak the computer into work just so I could type this rant and check my charries. What's worse, is that I can't get the cord fixed for a week or two. My life is going to be a little more boring over the next two weeks, but at least my husband can't complain that I am ignoring him because I am on the internet.
I feel a little better now that I vented...of course this is only temporary relief. I am frustrated at myself. Dang hotheadedness causing me to lose internet. *grumbles*
When people tell me that great minds think alike, all I can do is look at them and think "oh you dirty, dirty bastard"

^ Still pretty bad, but much better than almost knocking yourself unconscious by a stiletto heel.
I can laugh about it now but at the time I was mad mad mad!

2000th post.... -has no life-
Well, not a life that I choose to make productive, anyway.
And we all know the root cause for that.
Three more weeks of band camp, and then it's back to school.

My ducks at work. Yin-yang duck is locked in the drawer, because it is my ugly unloved step-duck. Zombie duck is my clear favorite, then probably pirate duck at #2.
